Title: Any one hunted Audad public land OTC in New Mexico
Post by: zwickeyman on January 14, 2020, 05:07:57 PM: Looking for a starting point for an OTC unit in New Mexico for Audad. If any one has any info for me to get started I sure would appreciate it. My son is in the Air Force in Shreveport and we are going to meet in New Mexico for a week hunt in a month or so

I have heard the same things

Tough country, hard to find, dont need water, few and far between, hard to spot, not during the rut " SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD TIME TO ME"

I have not, but Audad are on my list! Pretty cool looking critter IMO!

From my understanding the only hunting in Whitesands is by draw. Its too bad because the range on the West side looks really good.

Pretty sure McGregor is draw only also because its out of unit 34 public portion. I will double check though

Do you know if they were OTC public or on draw tags?
Do you know what unit they were in?

I didn’t even know what an aoudad was till I screwed up and read a few hunting magazines. :chuckle: :chuckle: now I really want to hunt them. I would like a do it yourself hunt on public also. I wish I had information for you anyways please post a follow up interested in how this one goes.
