What kind of reloaded bullets are people hunting with for an Encore in 30-06 caliber? What's your most accurate load.
-
14" barrel?
-
15" I believe

I hear good things about I-4064 and I-3031 with both 150's and 165's. These powders do well minimizing muzzle blast in short barrels. I don't have any specific load data, but you should be able to look up some loads using these powders.
-
The same powders you'd use in a rifle barrel will still work well in the short barrel. I'd look at H4350, H414 or Reloader 19.
When it comes to bullets you'll want to look at styles that will expand at lower velocity. Ballistic tips and Accubonds work really well at the lower handgun velocities, so do conventional cup and core bullets.

As yorketrasnport suggested look to the bullets that will perform at lower velocities. Most of the bullets meant for the 30-30 should work. I like the Swift A-Frame Lever bullets, as the stoutest of the bunch that open at low velocities.
But as mentioned, some of the cup and core style bullets should be fine. Could always pick one of the many thinner jacket bullets from Hawk bullets as well.

My shortie 30-06 load

Very nice what bullets you using

Plain old Speer Hot Cor flat base 150 grain. They expand well to 250 which is the farthest I've shot anything with them.

I don’t recommend 180 grn !!! Tried that once when I had the same gun, once!!
