So my dad calls me up and says his neighbor just brought this gun over to show him and he has to have one. Obviously my dad didn't do any research on pattern/cost or reliablility. He just said, find it for me the cheapest you can. I've read some articles online about them and shot patterns ect.
My question is "Do any of you have one or know anybody who does?" Could ya'll give me some feedback so I can let my ol'man know?
Appreciated.

My dad bought one, and I tried it out. Sure is a fun little gun to shoot. Pretty accurate to about 25yds, with both loads. I ended up getting the stainless steel one and I like it just as well. My wife shoots it well, and she is about 125lbs and only 5'4".
Now keep in mind, this is pretty much a personal defense gun or a nice close range grouse buster. Some *censored* get's into your house while your home, he will definately rethink his life decisions when he gets filled with lead.
I'd get another one, if I needed it.

Most of the bad press on the Judge online is from people that don't own one. There is a forum named Taurus Armed. Plenty of rave reviews there. Naturally not too many Taurus wheel gun haters there. Apparently some time back Taurus was spelled Saturday Night Special. The company solution to this was to institute a novel lifetime warranty policy. If it is broken send it back and it will be fixed or replaced.
Shooting 45 long Colt is surprizingly mild. Something to do with the curious rubber grip. Factory ammo is a dollar a shot. 410 shells are less expensive although harder to find, considerably louder, and kick harder. Ten yards or 30 feet is about the legally defensible limit in two legged self-defense. Four legged is topic of much discussion.
The Judge was chosen gun of the year by Rifleman Magazine May 2008. Good luck finding one for sale. There is twelve varietys now. Gunbroker.com list availablity at zero on all of them for a hundred miles from my house. Apparently the company is selling the Judge faster than they can make them.
