Anyone finding any deer sheds?? I’m headed out on Monday to look for blacktail sheds, but I really suck at finding those! How’s the snow on the Eastside of the cascades these days? I wouldn’t mind heading out this weekend to look for some mule deer sheds. At least I have a fighting chance and finding one or two of those! Haha..
-
The dog found a mulie and whitey from last year on Thursday. Saw a few bucks that had dropped already. They're out there!
-
I found a decent brown muley yesterday!
-
It’s March. There’s a lot of people finding them.
-

Hell of a shed! More than decent in my book
-
My son found this old blackie last week as we discussed our next move. Great to share that find with him.
-
Haven’t been out much yet, found no BT sheds, saw about 40 elk on Saturday morning, 6 bulls still had their head gear.
-
I am watch a pair of bucks that are still carrying one side. Haven't found the dropped yet.
-
Nice..glad at least a few peeps are finding some. I’ve been working like crazy, but I’m gonna get out for a bit on Sunday/Monday.
-
Seen a dandy 4x4 today, was suprised he was still packing.
-
I’ve seen 10+ mature bucks still packing in Palouse in last three days. Only seen one Buck I for sure I know dropped and it was a spike.
-
Wow !! That’s crazy to hear!
-
I found three today, two were fresh but still saw three bucks packing.
-
Saw a nice 6 pt bull last night. Still had antlers on. But..... I know where he lives !
-
Hell yeah man! I went out looking on Wednesday. Didn’t find squat! As usual!
Saw a bunch of deer, but no elk.
-
Few weeks yet...
-
I was up there on Saturday, still seeing bulls with both sides. Now it’s closed until April 1st. Should be some on the ground by then
-
I saw a nice bull Saturday packing both sides still too. I doubt we will see a April 1st opener though. I’m bummed out over this closure.
-
Tripped over a couple...
-
Sweet moose sheds!! I went out yesterday to a place I like to go and there was still way to much snow.. going to head out tomorrow to check a brand new spot. Hoping for a little less snow.
-
Put about 8 miles on the past two days, found one old Blacktail shed. Saw one bull still packing, buddy picked up a fresh 6 point. Yeah, our selfish butts were out in the woods! The horror!! Hope the trees didn’t give us the virus!
-
I’m glad to see most of you or at least some of you ignoring the stay at home order. Do you guys think this is a joke? :dunno:

Since you keep bringing my comment up, I’ll keep commenting on yours. You understand it’s not about being in the woods right? Clearly you don’t give a crap about anyone else around you. That’s unfortunate.
-
You guys can relax, didn’t see a single person, walked from home!

You did. But what about everyone else?
-
I wonder if anyone will stay at home after one of their kids or parents gets it
I’m betting so
I get that the woods are a safe bet
But are you really willing to risk lives for a piece of bone, a fish, a bird or a hike?
-
Way more risk in going to the store to buy whiskey or toilet paper! It’s the woods, not a sporting event.
-
I get the general concern and fear fellas but a guy hiking out his back door for some fresh air and a chance to find a shed is about as risky as staying on the couch. Let’s not loose common sense with all of this!

Didn’t you just post in the 2020 shed thread!?

not a joke, just an over reaction.

yeah from a shed I found over two weeks ago

Then you get guys from the west side where there are large population of people coming to our small towns. Possibly bringing that *censored* into a small community. I would say that is really selfish and no joking matter!

That’s where I’m at. Besides staying home. People don’t seem to have the logic in their heads to realize this is a problem. Refer to impending extended closure. Keep going shed hunting and fishing. We’ll be sheltered in place for months. Alls people care about is themselves. That’s a shame.

agreed!!!

There is people to ridicule, Trophyhunt going for a hike alone in the woods out his back door is certainly not one of them, get a life keyboard cop
-
Oh and what are you doing harassing those poor elk while they are trying to winter weeks ago when so few had even shed yet
-

Oh... there’s more to my comments than what you see here. He knows where I’m at and I know where he’s at. Thanks for the input though.

Josh and I agree to disagree on what’s happening, we’ve had a few discussions. I respect what he’s says most of the time ! 😁

That was merely a joke to show that ridiculous comments like yours can be posted hence the rolleyes

smart guy. I like it! There are a lot of things I would like to say but I will refrain. It’s guys like you who go crying when there feelings get hurt and that is against forum rules. Have a great day bud!
-
Lol surely no crying goin on here, all I did was advocate for a guy who solely went for a walk out of his own back door in the woods! There is no risk in that! In case your worried about it my family and I have been overly careful about what is goin on and are fully prepared to hole up for as long as need be
-
Convenience stores, Fast food, car dealerships, forestland production, non emergent doctor visits, home depot, wal mart, gun stores, many construction projects, the list goes on..... lets be honest throw up some plexi glass and tape and its business as usual. Is there some impact sure, but we haven't even scratched the surface of closing down. I think that's what chaps many, myself included. Stay out of my way and I will stay out of yours. Don't do stupid stuff to make you feel good about it. The government is more than willing to shut down public lands, which even factoring the travel interaction is likely much less impact than the closing the mcdonalds drive through window. If closing down public lands, lets start with a REAL assessment of what is essential. Emergency response, electricity, Hospitals, gas, (cardlock is everywhere) limited food. TIGHTEN up the support systems for these needs as well. If we aren't ready to make the tough choices, then quit slamming folks as selfish.
-
Amen
-
So you guys drive half way across the state to go to Home Depot? The coffee stand?
-
All the sudden we are driving half way across the state? The dude walked out his back door!!!!!!
-

You think I’m just talking about Trophyhunt?
You think these other guys just walk out their back door?
-
This all started with his post :dunno: I didn’t see you jumping up anyone else’s ass?
-
This is comical. How did we really get to the point that driving down a public road en route to some fresh air is somehow “infecting all of your small communities”.... give me a break.
-

I haven’t been watching this thread closely. Have you seen me having a hissy fit about people not staying home all over the rest of this forum?
-
I thought all forest service land and state land was closed I mean I'm usually out shed hunting but I'd like things to get back to normal ..... Tomorrow there gonna extend the date, and in guessing fish and game is gonna cancel turkey and spring bear which I have but sooner we listen *censored* will be done
-
Forest service land is not closed, just campgrounds, major trailheads, stuff like that. They didnt just close down the national forests
-
They would like you to think all National forests are closed down but don't be fooled

That's good to know because on Saturday I was up slippery Creek and forest service made us leave saying everything was closed So much Baton for mation out there and some people are misinformed hard to tell what's right or wrong these days
