Just picked up a Bushnell 2.1 mega pixel, with viewer combo for 100 bucks, normally 299!
Not sure if it is worth it or not, but what the hell...im in it now!
Cant wait to go set it up~!
Hopefully it wont get stolen like everyone else's seems too...

Sounds cool saylean...looking forward to the pics..
and the new bottle of rum... :chuckle:

WOW!!! For that price you should have bought two!!! One is never enough!!! :chuckle:
-
Just put it up yesterday...not overly excited about the spot, but its at least in the woods.
-
hey man i just picked one up also its the 2.1 trail scout right?...the one with the handheld card viewer...comes with a locking tree bracket, and a SD card?
yah i thought it was a good deal got mine for with a 25%off sale at swains....even if its not the best it should still take some pictures...i heard the typical battery life is about 2 weeks-month depending on activity in the area....
havent had a chance to get out much lately to put mine out, but as soon as my back is better im gonna see what i can find also....should be cool....Congrats on the camera....let me know what you think of the camera, and ill do the same.
-
I might go check mine today. I have had it out since last thursday...(perhaps I should wait? :dunno:
I read some reviews online which has me a bit nervous...they were not good. But oh well I guess. Perhaps they got a bad one, or didnt set it up right etc.
It is the same model you are talking about.

usually the first time you set it up you want to wait as long as possable....thats just from my experiance...
usually when your in a new area messing around it scares the animals for a day or two...then theyll act wierd after that for a while...then once you have come a few times into the area to check the camera i have seen that the animals just think of yah as a visitor....kind of a no harm no faul type thing....if that makes sence....give it atleast a week.....
Did you put any attractant or bait in the area to stop the animals as they come by the camera? salt blocks, food? anything?
not everyone agrees to putting anything down, but sometimes a bunch of cut up apples or pone of the above can work....i like to take a gallon ziplock of rolled cob and pour it out about 10-15 feet infront of the camera. sometimes ill use a saltblock also.....depends on the area....
keep us uptodate and what pictures you get....! :IBCOOL:

Thanks for the tips.
Lots of catnip was the attractant. :chuckle:

ANYTHING ON THE CAM YET?

Looks like you might have gotten a pretty good deal, I was in Saturday and it looked like they were still up there in price ( 299 ) and only 20% off , then I saw the same cam at Sportco for $119 so at minimum you at least saved 20 bucks. And Like coasthuntr said any pics yet?
-
yah they still have this whole kit....for sale at Swains in port angeles if anyone is interested...99 bucks i think
comes with.......
*bushnell trail scout 2.1 trail cam
*SD card i think 64mb
*Locking tree bracket with cable(still havent figured out how it works.....lol......)
*and handheld SD card viewer and photo downloader.

Sorry I missed this Jbar. No pics, but I took it down last week...I set it up too high I think, plus I didnt see any fresh tracks.
I am waiting to find a nice spot to put it back up...should have it up again this week sometime. I will update as soon as I get something worth talking about. :'(
