Title: Waited to long...
Post by: Billy74 on March 24, 2020, 04:20:12 PM
This will/was to be my first turkey season and have never owned a shotgun.  I put off the purchase planning to use tax refund money.   Bad timing.  Feeling desperate i hit up all the usual stores and finally just ordered online from SW hoping to have it delivered before they’re closed.  Guy at the counter said may or may not be  delivered on time as they may be deemed unnecessary or whatever. At least i have something to look forward to at the end of all this.  May have to get practicing with my recurve thats been collecting dust.  Anyway, it’s supposed to be here by the 31st which gives me enough time to pattern it.  Fingers crossed

Sounds like you'll have plenty of time sheltering at home to get patterned. Don't forget you need some fancy turkey shells and it's manditory to have a vest and 12 or so calls. If you've handled long guns you should be just fine on a shotgun. Consider looking at the reddot posts from last year if you have that refund money kicking around. Good luck and get ready for some fun.
