In the market for a holster, inside- outside the waist band. What do you like? What do you hate?
-
Don't know yet, just ordered an OWB last night.😆

Being an older fat-ish guy, I have to wear larger waist size for IWB and it wasn't as comfortable. Strictly an OWB carry now. Have been running this one for the last few months and love it. I have other OWB holsters, this is my go to. My EDC is a
full size S&W, M&P 9. YMMV

Versacarry OWB, it kept popping up on my Facebook feed, looked like it would work for me so ordered. If it works well on my side, I might order a lefty for the small of my back. :dunno:

I've been looking at the one that goes inside your pants and you pull the tab up to access the firearm. I can't remember the brand name now.

I have been buying a lot of alien gear holsters lately. They have a good sale for tax time going on right now.
-
Galco combat master for small carry.
-
My OWBs change depending on what I am doing or wearing:
Leather
Galco Combat Master
Milt Sparks IBak
Galco COP 3 SLOT STRONGSIDE/CROSSDRAW BELT HOLSTER
Desantis Champion clip/paddle
Blackhawk PREMIUM LEATHER 3-SLOT-PANCAKE HOLSTER
Kydex
Ronin Concealment Kydex
Blackhawk T-SERIES L3D DUTY HOLSTER
Blackhawk Serpa II
-
Lots of options, lots of researching.
-
My favorite inside the waist holder is one made by N82 it has enough material on the back side so the grip is not touching my skin. It is Very comfortable.
-
For IWB
Galco King-Tuk - Most comfortable - most used
Milt Sparks Versa Max II - comfortable and a work of art
Crossbreed - comfortable - also are good for mounting under tables, behind headboards, and in vehicles
Galco Southern Comfort II - good for appendix carry and for some reason when wearing shorts, lol
Desantis Thumb brake Mad Max - comfortable
Someone should open a Holster store, where you can go in and try on all the various holters.
I have a drawer full of holsters, both OWB and IWB. Sad part I had to buy them before I knew if they fit me and how I would use them.
One thing I have found is I do not care for the neoprene or fabric type against my skin.
But some people love theirs so don't just take my word on it, find out what works with how you carry. You will probably need more than one.

I hate concealed carry holsters. All of them. I have a drawer full and they are all compromises. Mouse gun in a pocket holster for me when concealment is required and legal. All other times right out in the open where it’s easy to get to: mid level drop leg style holster with a backpack or kenai chest rig. If hiking without a rifle 9/10 times it will be the blackhawk drop leg. Its nice because it will fit anything from a glock 10mm to a long slide 1911 or .22 auto and it doesnt hang real low. It’s just below the backpack belt line and doesnt look too much like i’m trying to be a tactical woods wizard. It has a fold over top secured with a buckle for when it’s really nasty out or you can wear it top open and have sidearm still held positively by a snap but easily removed with one hand in a normal drawing motion. It’s still very military looking however, and wont pass as grandpas harmless .22 revolver 6 shooter holster if that’s a concern. Depending on what you are trying to holster, i may have a concealed carry holster collecting dust in a box you could test drive. Pm if ya like.

I run a kt mech defender owb for my Glock 45 with a stream light tlr1 hl , they are an outstanding company to deal with and charge no extra for things like threaded barrel and supressor sights as "holster features" , they also have a quick lead time option for an extra 25$ I say it's worth it right now . They are out of Idaho . Check em out .
