Title: Turkey Harvest reports by GMU
Post by: Wanttohuntmore on April 12, 2020, 07:54:49 AM
Does anyone know or have a link to the turkey harvest report by GMU?  The only one I can find is by PMU which is fairly general.   Thanks,  doing couch research and scouting.  Happy Easter!

Scouting for the fall season.  I really hope I am wrong but don't think there will be a spring season

Won't hunt them in the fall, but just general scouting for Rios and Easterns.  My spots are drying up.

That is how they do the harvest report.  We have asked in the past ifnwe could get a report by GMU and have had no luck.

Bummer.  I swear I remember having the info by gmu in the past.   Planning my future eastern and Rio scouting trips.  No desire to hunt them in the fall but love the spring season.   Even if we don't have a spring this year doesn't mean we can't be smarter for 2021 spring.   Not being able to shoot them allows me more time to observe.

I think in the past they did have by GMU but they went PMU I think in the last couple years.  My guess is so they don't have to spend more time on data for turkeys.

I'm trying to remember if they capture that data when you submit your harvest report.   Seems they have the data but don't give it to us.  I would think a public info request might get it.   No idea why they have pmu's.

Call the regional offices. I did this a once and they had the information buy GMU. Have a pen and paper ready.

Do you have this info for the Westside as well?  This already confirms my Rio spot 😉

He didn't do the west side.  The PMU harvest is pretty accurate though
