This guy has to be on here somewhere. His dad is a fishing guide(he might be too), and after contacting me he can only seem to make excuses for stealing and call me a pos coastie. John Michael Floyd, where ya at Chief?
Yep, just took a shovel and axe from my camp, which a surprising amount of people(2) don’t seem to find a big deal, and if he would have not tried to make excuses or lied I wouldn’t have given two *censored*s, but here we are.

Two minutes of clear video that won’t post. But here is the obvious

I hate thieves, it is really not hard, if it does not belong to you, leave it alone! :bash:
-
Pretty awesome that you got it on tape.
-
"Tape" :chuckle:
-
:yeah: I just watched the tape on my davenport :chuckle:
-
All my years hangin cams at camp I was about fed up with squirrels and now I miss em haha this guys list of excuses/lies/insults is almost impressive though.

I'm clueless what is going on.

Camped over on the wenatchee River for a week. Dude drives by Saturday morning, circles around and stops, walks by a storage container with 1k worth of camper/towing equipment to steal a shovel and axe. I post it on the local Facebook page. He contacts me apologizing, and then when I talk to him on the phone he makes excuses, lies, tells me it’s my fault for living on the other side.
-
oh, ok. i have to do facebook to understand,
well, thats bizzare to steal a shovel and an axe. whats next, a garden hose and a yard nome
-
I'm just curious ,why didn't you call LEO when you have so much info on him.
And yes stealing is wrong.

I contacted LEO as soon as I got cell reception (30 minutes). I sent them video and plate number. Then once the thief messaged me on Facebook asking me to remove the posts that exposed him as a pos, I sent him my phone number, which is when he called and started being a dbag. I just spoke with the sheriff again, who contacted the thief. He wanted me to give the guy my address so he could send my shovel and axe back. I didn’t want him to have my address, so I said I will pick up up from the sheriff when I can.
-
Sheriff didn’t seem too concerned with the guy stealing from me. Maybe cause it’s
Only a shovel and axe? Maybe he knows the family? Kinda confused but I guess oh well?

Most likely the sheriff has a bit more pressing things to bother with than a shovel and axe. That said if the guy has any friends or family that are on the sight there may be a bit of a lesson to be taught here. It has happened many times over the years on this forum. And this way it alerts others to keep an eye out for this individual or his car around other camps.
-
They deserve to be exposed. If it’s that imbaressing for them hopefully it makes them think twice next time. Thieves piss me off.

I’m sure he does, and I wouldn’t want him wasting time on $50. But the deputy i first spoke with expressed how much they love “nailing buggers like this”, and just now I felt like I had to defend the fact I called them because stuff was stolen from me. End of the day, hopefully this will teach him something.

Yep he said he was embarrassed and sorry in between blaming me for being from the wrong side and telling me it’s just a shovel. I feel sorry for the kid he is raising.

:yeah: I just watched the tape on my davenport :chuckle:
I hope you scotchbrited the doylie first.
I knew I was gonna catch it for that.

You should keep posting it on Facebook over and over until you get you stuff back. If the Sheriff does not have time to charge him, let him live by his actions.

That’s the plan

Blamed you for being on the wrong side....being a coastie....justified being a thief with that line. Of course.

Yeah threw me off a little bit haha but his actual words were “because you’re from the other side”

Ya that's pretty crapy of the sheriff not to get your stuff back.

If you wish to recover your stuff check the county property room often, will need a officer, or it will be gone in the next auction.
-
Awesome you caught it on vid. I’d keep exposing them for sure. POS

anyone willing to steal an axe and a shovel wont think twice about stealing a generator or anything else. A thief is a thief.

he blamed you for being from the other side but he’s driving a subaru?!

Since you asked, sure.... :chuckle:

Obviously this kid was planning a murder and was going to frame our friend Bowhunter3 by using his "weapon"(axe) and "burial tool"(shovel).
*warning, language*
-
Good idea with the trail cam! He is one weird lookin dude isn’t he....
-
Go around the deputy and call the county prosecutor. Tell them you have the proof, there are certainly police reports, give the prosecutor everything. Its actually there decision to prosecute not the cops.
-
Maybe he would comprende a couple strokes of the fish bat to his cork filled melon.
-
Huh, and everybody from the wetside is a d'bag? Right😎
-
I received an email from the deputy I originally spoke to who seems a little more hesitant to let this guy off with less than a kick to the balls. He said he’ll contact me later today.

I’ll try and get that done today. Good idea

They gotta do something now...not wait, as someone else said...till he starts stealing generators and actually entering campers looking for treasure. Let this small crime go and he might get emboldened...OR HE MIGHT GET SHOT in a break in attempt. :(
-
Willing to bet that this is not this guy's first rodeo. By posting the perp's picture you are interfering with his "livelihood". He will probably sue you and win. It's the American way. He is being victimized by an outsider from the other side of the mountains.
-
IMO public shaming is the best course of action. Not only does it put the public on alert, but it provided motivation for the cops and prosecutor to go after him. I always like it when i get a heads up some one is a dirt bag. Its cost me thousands because some one i knew said nothing. :twocents:
-
The other benefit to public shaming is that other d-bags will see it and hopefully think twice about hidden cameras next time they are about to do something they shouldn't.
-
Make copies of the best pics showing him stealing, and post them with "Thief" in big bold letters on every public bullitin board in the community, Mailboxes, store fronts, etc... you know like people do with missing dogs?
Plaster the area with his pic!
-
And you might want to get a backup camera. He now knows about the first one.

100% :yeah:
Shovels and stuff now for being from a different part of the state.....what's next.....he takes a deer that was hanging in camp because you shot HOS deer?
-
Tell him you're going to send the footage to the locals news station. :chuckle:
