Post your trail cam pics of bears so those with spring permits can at least mentally prepare for an opening!!! If it doesn't open at least we can dream of the August hunts. I'll start.

Im not a great judge of bears, but i think these are a couple of the best ive had pics of. Huckleberry springers. The dark pic, ive had that scarred up old baddie on a couple cams over a few square miles in different years. I highly doubt anybody killed him, good chance hes still around, but i havent ran cams in that area for a couple years. Maybe ill draw huck next year and look for him again.

d wilson.....couple real pretty color phase you have there.

Thanks. Im not a bear guy at all but those are the biggest Ive had on camera lately.

If we get to hunt this spring you can bet I’ll be on the lookout for that guy. What a toad.

Turdle....great pics. Love the small guys climbing the tree. If I remember correctly, you got to watch them on one of your hunts a few years back. Thanks for posting.

Mine from last year. I need to find my card from a couple years ago. Bear ate my camera in June and I got some great photos of a first hand mauling.
-
Jackelop.....great pics, they are like kids in a candy store to any feeder. I shut my corn feeder down from late spring to late fall because bears use it as playground equipment. Funny thing is they don't eat the corn that dispenses on the ground....I think they are attracted by the sound. It is fortified so they cannot break it....but it makes for great photos. I don't post those photos due to all the naysayers on this forum thinking it baits bear. I feed deer all winter long with it. My food plot feeds the animals through the bear season so it is the best of both worlds.
Back on track...Bears are very curious and destructive machines when it comes to grub. :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

This was a bear on the border of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness a few years ago. At first I thought I had spotted my first mountain goat in the wild. Put the spotter on it and verified it was a bear.
Sorry, not a trail cam pic. I don’t even know what color you call this. It was August pre-season otherwise there might be a rug on my wall.

Great looking bear! I take it the big one is the boar? That bear in my pic above was a boar but he was chasing a female that was quite a bit larger!
-
Yes, the big one was the boar ..13 years old

How did you get a tooth out of him? :dunno:
-
When he mounted the sow , I made my move. I covered the 20 yards in .02 seconds and hit him hard on the left side just at the "Right" moment. I quickly put him in a half-nelson and before he had time to recover from that "Right" moment I pulled the pliars from my teeth and yanked out the incisor. He rolled out of the half-nelson and just layed there with this funny smile on his face. After a hasty retreat I looked back to see the love struck bear mounting up again.
Actually, one of my hunters had a spring tag and made a perfect shot at 327 yds. He told me the skull measurement put him at #3 in the state.

Westside, Kitsap County. I was working in the yard with my 2.5 year old daughter this morning and my wife shouted out the window that there was a bear walking through our property nearby. I ran my daughter inside and escorted the bear off the property. Later in the day I pulled these pics from a game camera.
