Has anyone heard of Montana/ Idaho refunding money to out of state permit holders due to COVID-19 and that they don't want any out of state hunters this year? I just heard this and cant believe what I heard? I am not believing it till I see it for my own eyes.. Nothing will supervise me any more.. I hope this is not true.. ruined my day even thinking this.. :bash: :bash:

I dont see anything here for Idaho.

I think that is what is known as a rumor. In MT, they will give you a refund if you want one and spring hunts are resident only, but fall hunts are unchanged. They do have a 14 day quarantine now, but that may be lifted in a couple days or extended.
Refunding all NR licenses would have a crippling effect on both state's game agencies.

I would think so, havent seen no facts, i am sure it is a rumor but worth looking into.. But honestly nothing would surprise me right now..

Oregon is definitely doing it. https://myodfw.com/COVID-19
Last I checked if you bought Idaho tags before the cutoff April 4th, you're good to go. But they stopped selling to non residents on that date.

I received below info from Idaho last week. There are a couple of embeded links to checkout as well:

How Governor Little's updated stay-at-home order may affect your travel to Idaho
On Wednesday, April 15 Governor Brad Little updated Idaho’s stay-home order including new changes related to nonresidents' travel into the state. For nonresidents who currently possess an Idaho license, permit, or tag you are encouraged to review the new order at https://coronavirus.idaho.gov/.
Additionally, guidance to nonresident outdoor recreation and the temporary suspension of some nonresident license, tag, and permits sales can be found under the “Recreation” section of the of the Governor’s Additional Guidance on Statewide Stay-Home order.
New F&G process for hunters to exchange or buy returned elk tags starts April 23
Every year, a few hunters return and exchange their general season elk tag. Often the returned tags are highly sought-after tags, so Fish and Game has identified a more consistent and transparent way of handling them.
Please read more on these changes regarding both 1) The exchange of over-the-counter elk tags for returned tags from sold-out capped zones, and 2) The sale of the returned elk tags after capped elk zone tags sell out, or after statewide nonresident quotas for deer and elk tags are met.

Nonresident hunting licenses, controlled hunt applications, and available deer and elk tags can still be purchased!
As a reminder, nonresident hunting licenses along with currently available nonresident general season (also called over-the-counter) deer and elk tags can still be purchased, and nonresidents who purchase a 2020 hunting license may still apply for controlled hunts that will occur this fall. The application period for moose, bighorn sheep and mountain goat controlled hunts is currently open and runs through April 30. The application period for controlled deer, elk, pronghorn and fall bear hunts runs May 1 through June 5. Here are some tools to help you prepare.

Non-residents can still buy elk and deer tags. IDFG isnt going to cut off one of their biggest revenue streams (non-resident big game tags). Quick google search will get you these results.
