I hear regularly that the last two weeks of the season, June 1-15 are the best. What will June 15-30 be like? Peak bear rut at that time or is that starting in to the post rut? We could damn near be hunting the high country by the end of the season :dunno:

Should be amazing. You boys lucked out. May 5th - june 30th is a much better deal than april 1st - june 15th

I'm hoping to be tagged out by then. I'm worried they'd be rubbed out that late into spring/basically summer.
-
:yeah: bet the hides will pretty ugly by June 30th, but who knows

At least you’ll be hunting!

I already have a big cinnamon colored boar with a big white patch on his chest hanging in the living room so bear rugs are no longer in my budget anyway. It's all about killing a predator and bear carnitas this year.

Amen brother!

In a way I find it amusing. Spring bear ends June 30th and fall bear starts August 1st.

Trying to figure out if I want to head over Monday. Will use my Kodiak tent. I will be mainly calling. Rick

I'm happy those of you who drew tags get to hunt!

Right? Cut the b.s. and open bear year round. Not like we will ever wipe out bears with hounds and baiting being illegal
