Title: Peels

I was out all day yesterday. I didn’t see any fresh peels. I was wondering if any west side bear hunters found any?

I think it's just a little early. I had a spring permit a few years ago and wasn't finding any peels, then all of a sudden around mid May they were everywhere.

That’s the same as where I have hunted in the past. I’m hunting in a different unit this time and was just curious if it was different by area. I drew a mason unit tag. I haven’t hunted this area before . I’m just getting familiar with the area.

Saw my first peeled trees about two weeks ago. Some more in a different area yesterday. Locations are miles apart, but both are chronic damage areas with old trunk scarring, dead trees from 2 or more years ago, and bright reddish orange stressed trees that were worked over last spring.
