I recently put a peep site on my old hawken rifle, while I did some siteing in today. I have never fired a roudball through this rifle and I figured for test fireing purposes why not? I was very pleased with how the peep sites worked and very surprised at how much smaller I could aim.( unitl you try them this might not make sense) I was only shooting at about 30 yards and just from a seated postion, but was able to keep all shoots touching. this is with a round ball and pre lubed patch. I am very pleased with this performance and have decided to try my hand at takeing some small game with this load. This is a rifle I traded for right out of highschool it was bulit by a buddy who loaded and never fired it :dunno:I got it cleaned it up and have been hunting with it for over 15 years. its a great rifle and has always been a great shooter.
