Just did thanks to you, lol
-
Ordered mine yesterday!

Order from where ??

Order from where ??
www.muzzleloaders.com
-
That's a sweet deal! Thanks for sharing the link
-
Awesome deal! Thanks! They are all legal for WA, correct?
-
I was wondering the same thing?
-
Pretty sure the Bighorns are all legal
-
That is a steal of a price!
-
Well I finally drew multi season elk after 9 years and I got multi season deer again so I figured it was a good time for a new muzzleloader. Ordered this one tonight. Great deal. Midway has them for $569 so $300 less was awesome to see. I think I will shoot it some with the sights that come on it but will probably switch the back out to a hunting style peep of some sort.
-
Thanks for the heads up. Ordered the wife the little horn in pink. She'll love it.
-
I’ll have to order one in the morning. Always good to have options
-
:yeah:
-
Well that was a no brainer, thank you for the heads up! Been wanting a Knight for awhile now.
-
I got 4 of them when GI joes went out of business for 150 each. Probably one of the better deals I have ran across.
-
Of the ones in stock what do you guys recommend for a first time buyer?
-
I believe the only difference in the ones on sale is stock style and camo pattern. Then pick your caliber which after a discussion with @sabotloader I think .50 is definitely the way to go.
-
Of the ones in stock what do you guys recommend for a first time buyer?
It is basically, do you want a thumb hole or not? The Max1 and XTRA are just different Realtree camo. I think the max 1 is a bit better suited for western hunting personally. And I’d also say .50 cal for sure
-
I have a .50 cal Max1 BH and love it. I didn't get the one with the hole in the stock because I personally detest the look of them.
-
I ordered the one with the hole in the stock. I am not crazy about the look of them but I have shot several rifles with similar stocks and the control you get seems unmatched. Similar to a pistol grip on a turkey shotgun. Still not crazy about the look but the added stability can’t be argued
-
Thanks for the heads up, mine is on order for the grandson, 3 isn't to young right
-
I grabbed a Wolverine last night. Kind of scratch my head at $45 shipping, but it was still under $300. Still around $100 less than I paid for my bighorn 8 years ago.
I went with the wolverine because I wanted something easier to carry. I can’t say anything negative about my experience with the bighorn, other than that long barrel makes it a hassle to carry with a sling, it always wants to tip off my shoulder. The wolverine is also spec’d out at around 1.5lb lighter than the bighorn, and less than a pound heavier than the ultra lite.
I figure I’ll take it out and shoot it, for what I paid if I don’t like it, I can still afford an ultra lite!

I have both and prefer carrying the Wolverine for the same reason. Both shoot great.

Still some left, what a deal, thanks for posting!

I probably should have went that route too since I already have a bighorn. I’ve never given much thought to the carry but looking back they are a PITA on a sling! Is the shorter sight radius noticeable when shooting?
-
I went to muzzleloaders.com and couldn't find them. I even typed in Knight Bighorn and it said no results for that search. I'm either on the wrong site or I'm several days late and even more dollars short which is the story of my life!

Anybody know if they can be converted to 209’s?
Never mind, I found it.

Question for you muzzy aficionados. Will this factory site setup be good or is there a better option for the Bighorn that you recommend?
Western states legal options please. ;)

In WA, just stay away from magnifying or electronic. Peeps are nice, as well as some upgraded standard sights.
-
Sabotloader has a lot of posts on the sights he uses.

I have this setup on my Bighorn & Disc Extreme.
I have had some issues finding bullets to load easily. I have had the best luck with the 290 grain T-EZ bullets.
Fantastic accuracy with my Knights.

Thanks for the links.
I’ve only hunted with a muzzy once, got a nice buck on a quality hunt, and hope to draw another tag at some point before I die! :dunno:
The only issue I had with the one I had borrowed from @m_ray was at distance, the front sight covered the entire vital area. I am hoping to be able to set this one up with a sight that will allow me to still see the critter when aiming. :chuckle:
-
Picked up a another bighorn and a littlehorn for the kiddos.
-
Did they give estimated shipping dates to any of you?
-
Did they give estimated shipping dates to any of you?
Nope, just an order email
-

I read something about shipping being a couple weeks out but I don’t remember exactly what it said
-
I ended up grabbing one too. Tired of always borrowing my dads or Vandeman’s lol

Which is why I bought one. @M_ray would have loaned me one of his again without hesitation, but like you, why put questions in your buddies decisions? ;)

I don’t have any issue with shooting long range with the factory sights that come on the Bighorn. In low light or shooting into dark backgrounds, those peep set-ups can let you down. Additionally, target acquisition is much faster with standard open sights.

I agree. I put Williams peeps on my Bighorn several years ago. After having those exact issues I switched back to the stock sights.
-
I drug my feet and now they only have .52 caliber. Is it still worth it?

A bit tougher to find the sabots. That would be my main concern.
-
Just got an email today with a tracking number saying mine should get here next Monday
-
Dang. I wish I would’ve seen this in time. Oh well.

Anyone get theirs yet? How long did it end up taking?

That's awesome. Ordered mine a week ago.

I contacted them, 10 to 15 days from the time of the order is the expected receipt date. For some strange reason they are swamped with orders!

Hmmm. Guess I will wait till Monday and if I don’t see anything I’m going to call them. It’s been two weeks since I’ve ordered it and have not got any kind of tracking number yet. Just the email confirming my order the day I put it in

I’d have to look but I think I put my order in the day after memorial weekend. I ordered the thumbhole stock one. Maybe that’s why I have my number now
-
May 23, got a order confirmation and that’s it. Kinda like my Wyoming refund.
-
ordered may 16th. came June 2nd.

Email yesterday. Will be here the 22nd, ordered May 20. :dunno:

I’ll have to redo my previous post. The email I got from knight was for the conversion kit🤦♂️ No idea when I’m supposed to get the actual muzzy. Dang
-
I talked to them yesterday, they said mine should go out either today or tomorrow, i ordered it on the 21st.
-
Thanks for bumping this. I actually forgot I bought one :chuckle:
-
Ok cool. I bought mine the 26-27. Can’t remember. So a few more weeks out I suppose

The guy I spoke to on Friday said they were building 50 a day and should have all the orders filled by yesterday. Hopefully their QC doesn’t suffer from the rush, ordered mine on the 05/21 and finally got a shipping notice on Monday.
-
Got my shipping notification today, says I should have it next Thursday.
-
Samesies. I ordered on the 21st
-
Just looked and got the shipping email. Supposed to be here the 24. Yahoo!

What is the weight on your shipping package? Reason I ask is I ordered 2 and received a single shipping / tracking notice. The package I am to receives says 11 lbs. So I am curious if this is a single gun or 2. Thanks.
-
Mine says 11 pounds and I ordered one.
-

Mine also says 11 lbs.

I got my wolverine 2 weeks ago. Could've sworn they said they'd come with a cleaning kit and the carbon fiber ramrod. Mine came with neither, just 2 different bottles of solvent, and a breech plug tool. The ramrod looked like some generic cheapy aluminum one, doesn't have the extendable cleaning jag like my old bighorn has.
still, for $250, i can't complain. handling still sort of has that tank-like quality as my bighorn, but a bit better balance. still thinking about picking up an ultra lite to scratch the itch...
-
For those of you that already received yours did it come in a plain brown box? Or was it just in the knight box with the picture of the gun and everything on it? I’m hoping it’s coming in an unmarked box

Knight box.
-
:yeah: got a text at work from the wife saying “you got a gun in the mail” :yike: was hoping I could intercept and stash it away...
-
I was hoping it came in an unmarked box cause That’s what I was trying to avoid. Did it come on the day the original ups tracking said or did it get there quicker.?
-
Mine got here on the date it said it would.

Just a packing slip. Receipt was an email.
-
Cool, thanks it must have fallen out.
-
Well crap Saturday they bumped my delivery date up to today but I checked it this morning and it’s back to saying tomorrow. I’m itching to get out and start practicing with it for my multi season deer and elk tags. Hopefully mine isn’t falling out of the box. As long as UPS delivers it and my local Postal Service doesn’t get a hold of it it should be fine.
-
I only see 52 cal. availabnle.
-
I think they ran out of the 50 Cal a couple weeks after they went on sale. I got my 50 Cal thumbhole stock big horn in the mail today. Can’t wait To get time to take it out and shoot it
-
Yea I ordered one from sportsmans warehouse for twice the price a couple weeks ago. Has yet to be shipped.

if you guys are putting the conversion kit on, Natchez shooting supply has them the cheapest.
-
After checking mine out, it seems like a quality item. Not complaining but I wonder why such a great deal? :dunno:
-
Maybe discontinuing that model? That’s all I could come up with
-

I’m wondering the same thing. My wife bought one last year. Liked it enough I went online to
Buy another and was surprised at how hard it was to find one. The only ones in stock were 52 cal. I had to find one on gun broker at the regular price. Must be discontinuing the model? That’s a crazy deal they had that I missed 🤦♂️

Is there a conversion to the 209 primer for the .52 cal Bighorn?

Dang! I just ordered 300 “Silver” sabots and 200 of the .52 cal 275gr Bloodlines. I got the sabots to try some .458 325gr Hornady FTX’s I already have. The stinking sabots and the bullets “ Bloodline’s” cost more than the muzzle loader. Knight’s shipping is nuts. Forty some bucks for the muzzle loader. Thirty bucks for the sabots and bullets. They want $15.00 shipping for a $17.00 breach plug.
-
Finally got mine, perfect gun for my designated Idaho muzzleloader.

I tried before, everything seemed good until checkout. The shipping/handling charges were so high that I just logged off their site.
-
Just curious? For those of you that purchased one of the Bighorns on sale. I expected it to show up, set up with a breach plug for the #11 caps. I thought the 209 breach plug was a conversion from the factory configuration. Mine showed up 37 days after ordering with a 209 primer breach plug? For those of you that purchased one. What ignition breach plug did you get? #11 or 209?
-
you had to specify which setup you wanted. I got a 209. You can buy the the western breech plug and nipple pretty cheap.
-
I ordered the western version and today went to take it out to shoot it and realized I received the 209 I even went back to the order email and verified I ordered it correctly so sounds like they messed up on a few of them I’ll have to give them a call tomorrow

sorry so late, but Ive always had a great time dealing with them.

I’ve bought a few demo scopes off of them, never had any problem.
-
Mine worked out great. Picked up the .52. Ordered a bunch of the 275gr Bloodlines. With 120gr of Triple 7 it is incredibly accurate. Unlike other muzzle loaders I have owned, this one just kept delivering. I loaded and shot 13 times in one session, without cleaning. Others I have owned you couldn’t hardly get the 4 sabot to load.
