Ive always used loose powder, but i picked up 2nd muzzle loader and was going to try 209 and pellets. The new one is .52 cal but im only finding .50 cal pellets, will these work?

I would say not only no. But also that it could be dangerous because you probably couldnt correctly compress the powder.
-
I would definitely NOT do that.

I get a better push with loose powder over my 50 cal pellets.

I thought it wouldnt be advised but wanted to ask, probably a big risk of excessive preasure so ill stick with loose powder, thanks guys.

Well after talking to someone from hogdon to see if they made .52 pellets , which they dont, he said it was perfectly safe to use .50 cal pellets in both .52 and .54 cal rifles, I than contacted knight rifles to see what they're thoughts on this was and was told the same, it would be perfectly safe, but they recommended loose powder for better accuracy.
