What boots do you guys like for kids? I want to start outfitting them this summer for gear that will keep them more comfortable. Something they can walk a few miles in in wet fall weather. Also want some good summer hikers as we have a lot of scout trips and camping coming up.
Boys 10 and 12 size 4-6.

My son just got some waterproof Keen brand boots. They seem well made and I have to force him to take them off at the end of the day. He'd probably sleep in them if he could.

My 9 yr old daughter is wearing the Keen's too, in 6.5 women's :o
She likes them and I think they're good quality.
I'd like to find her some gaiters, swung by sportsman warehouse and they didn't have anything small enough.
And on that note I'd like to find her some performance hiking pants, the kids camo is pretty much garbage.

I’ve had a really hard time finding good pants for the kids. Something durable and somewhat weather resistant without spending a fortune.

For wet fall/winter, all of my boys have worn Bogs boots and we've had good luck with them. They are a bit warm, and heavy, for summer hiking though and I never really found a good answer that didn't cost me an arm and a leg. I hated to spend too much knowing they would grow out of them before the next years use.

I go for the "on-sale" brand unless the "clearance" brand are available. Kid's don't seem to have much problem with most boots and they outgrow them in about two weeks. I've ran my kids all over and I think we have had a grand total of one blister that I can remember.
