How do you guys look at your pictures from your trail cameras when in the field? I usually just swap sd cards but sometimes it would be nice to just look at them on my phone while there. I have a stealth camera sd card reader but it seems to work sporadically. Any suggestions?

I got a little card reader I just plug into my phone when I check my cards.

Amazon has a ton of card readers for your phone. Just find the right one for your phone and you are good to go

for years I bought the SD cards with the mini in them and I had a samsung tablet that took mini SD cards and could look at pics, save and delete. I got new phone recently and now the apple card reader I have works awesome in it. Ill be using that now

Been playing with cameras 3 years now, pre season cameras I just swap cards and look when I get home. During season have a laptop in camp to look at pics.
Think I will pic up a card reader this year, I hate getting home just to figure out a spot was not a good set knowing the camera is still in that spot for another 1-3 weeks.

Not wanting to chew up battery life on my phone I bought a stealth cam card reader. Sometimes I'll have a couple thousand pics to look at per camera and the reader has functioned flawless for me. Battery life is good to.

For the same weight penalty, you'd be way ahead to carry a portable battery bank and look at the photos on your phone. :twocents:

Probably. But I like packing extra AA batteries to especially for my sets 6 miles from the truck. It's helps me stay in shape. :chuckle:

I use one of these too. I used to use the chip readers that would plug in your phone but couldn't find one that would work for USB-C so I got a stealth cam reader and like it way better.

I will add that I recently forgot the stealth cam reader on a log next to one of my cameras. It sat out in the weather for 3 weeks which included some pretty bad rain. Was even chewed on a bit by mice. Still works perfectly.

For those of you that use a dedicated card reader like the stealth one…..Will it read any brand of Tcam card, or just stealth? Sometimes different formats for different cams, so a stealth reader may not work for a bushnell or browning or whatever

I have Moultrie, stealth, Browning, bushnell. It works with all of them.

Multiple different cam models, different card models, no issues reading them all.
And I've tried the plug into phone readers and never had much luck getting one that worked right for me.

Can't speak for others but I know my Stealth cam reader works on Cuddieback, Moultrie and Wild Game Innovations cameras

Cool Thanks all. Years ago I bought a viewer but it would not read cards used in bushnell cams, things must have changed :chuckle:
I may have to buy one. The phone reader things work, but I have to remove the phone case for it to work …..PIA
