Title: Wolf hunting in Idaho
Post by: pc on June 08, 2020, 01:50:28 PM: Just got back from 4 days of wolf hunting in Idaho... was not successful :( yet... :tup:
Was looking in units 12, 10, and 10a...These are huge areas but we did not find any wolfs, at least where we were.
We did find Elk, Deer, (muley & whitetail) bear, beaver - no Moose.
Idaho folks are great, every person we spoke with wanting them gone "smoke a pack a day"

I will be heading back in August 8)

Keep after it. You will see them eventually! If you decide on a winter hunt trip, I can give you a few areas off of highway 12 that I was encountering them before fish and game went up there this spring with a helicopter.

I will be after WT in 10-A in late Nov. Good odds to run into a wolf then? Will be my first time there.

Post by: pc on June 30, 2020, 08:44:10 PM: Outstanding, thank you everyone, I went back out and found one dead Elk (I believe it to be wolf kill) at least two weeks old, mostly all gone.
I won't give up, my 7mm can reach 1000 yrds+ so I will keep at it. I do have an electronic call too, and plenty of rounds... :IBCOOL:
