As a second tag..so if you're buddy messed up and you feel sorry for his starving family you buy another elk tag and kill two elk and donate some meat to his needy family. :chuckle:

I think they are a bit optimistic about their deer tags selling out by aug 1. Between any deer and WT there are over 6,600 left. They will get another big shot of sales after draw results for WY and ID come out but there will still be a few thou left for second tags on Aug 1............I hope :chuckle: 😬Keyword hope lol. I'm not so sure there might be barely any left depending on way tag sales in July go.

If any deer tags are left August 1st they’ll be gone in a day or two after that.I already called dibs on one so you all need to respect the code of the dibs and wait to buy until after I get mine :chuckle:

Wow, crazy fast. I think the limited opportunities in WA created this. Its only going to get earlier and earlier every year.
Will be interesting to see if this holds true next year with the cost increase.

Is there anyway I could help any forum members out to get it or does it just back in the pool then they process it? I know I could transfer it, but still would have to turn a tag in, just curious my options there.

Haha, i have plenty of vacation time, that's not the problem.
Figure that's a 7 day minimum hunt to make it worth while and planning the 12 days for colokum. Too much time away for me from my toddlers!

Washington is the new idaho
:yeah: Very true. Before the banking crisis my elk hunts would be sold out by January, it's going to get like that again as the economy gets better again. Next year might slow it down some with the fee increases, but I still expect it to sell out pretty early.
(unless sleepy Joe gets elected)

Nice of them to keep their site updated :chuckle: tags went from 3900 available on the 19th to “oops they’re gone!”I was thinking the same thing. One of my hunting partners was procrastinating and I kept telling him...and now he's become camp cook and designated packer. :chuckle:

I'm sure a few people bought for that reason but most of the calls I get (several a day) don't seem to even know that's going to happen, they just want to go hunting and idaho has OTC tags.
