Always avoided Winchester Brass but found a good deal on a lot of short mag cases. Bad idea! About 10 were unusable for various reasons.
Anyone else experience bad Win brass or did I just get a bad lot?

I’m used to getting 3 or 4 culls(usually split necks) in an average bag of 50. Aside from that I haven’t really had any trouble with it.

I have used them a bunch they seem to have poor quality control and are often dented and what not but never had any I couldn't use.

I picked up a bunch years ago for a .300 Win Mag and it has been good brass.

I ordered a bag of 7mm Rem Mag from Cabela's. More than half were dented. I couldn't trust them, so I sent them back and got Remington brass and about a quarter of them were dented. I started buying empty brass, usually Winchester, for about 30 years now and until now haven't seen such bad product.

Empty Brass ?

Word on the street is that the newer "red bag" brass is an inferior product and actually not even made by Winchester. The "blue bag" brass is out of production and the good stuff.
