Title: Bearded Hens....how long do their beards get???
Post by: jrebel on June 28, 2020, 07:40:46 PM: I have only seen a handful of bearded hens in my short time hunting. Most have been pics of hens others have shot. What would you say is an average length beard for the trophied bearded hen?

The reason I ask, the kids will be targeting one we have hanging around the property this fall and the beard is crazy long. I would guess 6-7" and pretty full. The other ones I have seen are in the 2-3" range.

I will see If I get trail cam pics to post up. Feel free to post up pics of your bearded hens if you have them.

She was in front of a camera a couple days ago so I will have pics in a couple weeks when I check the cam. Hopefully I will have good pics of her beard. She has 6 little ones in tow so the pics should be pretty cool.

I saw one with poults last fall
