Hello I have a Springfield Range Officer 45ACP and I want a little more juice without having to spend a lot of money buying another gun and caliber So I was thinking about the 45 super so some stronger springs and a flat firing pin plate I know the barrel is supported and the platform is strong enough and it would only be used for woods walking so not heavy shooting as a range gun so does anyone have any experience with doing this with a 1911 platform

460 Rowland conversion will let you shoot 45+p, 45 super and 460 Rowland.

I'm also interested in this round and have a Sar K2 that supposedly works with just a spring conversion. I don't need 460 Rowland performance in a semi auto. 230 HSTs at 1100 would be plenty.

As was already mentioned, if you're looking for more juice from your 45, the 460 Rowland puts 44 mag performance in a semi auto and is about as much juice as you can squeeze from that kind of platform.
