My girl's show pigs are going to an auction put on by stevens co cattlemen association, they're going to have the fat stock sale as normal, but all the showing and fair itself is canceled.
FFA and 4H aren't involved with the auction

There was a bunch of online sales going on. Nobody did one by you guys?Unfortunately no , the Fair ground owners were going to try and line something up , but not able to .

I would say that you should probably take a look at your sale results from last year, and get a good average. Our little county fair averages about 4.25 a pound for lambs, away from the auction, especially on Craigs List I wouldn't expect more than about 75% of your fair average.I thought about averaging it out to last year's price ( a little over 1200 for two lambs ) but finding buyers at that price on CL here is going to be near impossible. If she could get close to the original purchase price and feed cost up till now Wife and I would be happy .
You could try to sale halves for a bit better percentage. Get a butcher date and deliver it yourself to the cutter, that will help your sale a lot.

What county fair is this for? There is a buyer in Bonney Lake that purchases lambs regularly. He isn't paying fair prices as he is a commercial packer, but he does buy lambs 365 days a year. PM me and I will pass you his info.West Valley fair in Yakima . Appreciate that Pm coming later today

Have you checked what prices people are getting at the Toppenish Livestock Saturday sale? I am taking my daughter down tomorrow to drop off her two West Valley Fair Goats. I am hoping she gets close to half of what she would have gotten if the fair wasn't canceled. She has two more that are going in August because of the Yakima Fair getting canceled. At least that fair setup a special date and is still allowing the kids to receive add ons.

Throwing sticks curious what breed of lamb it was that you bought? If you don't mind.Sure, I had to look it up, and also I paid hanging weight not hoof weight, so it was around 55#. Not cheap, but also not what we eat every day. I was / is a Katahdin hair sheep.
They are less gamey from what I understand, it is good stuff, pretty mild.

Vast differences around the state in support for show animals. You might check out what Grant county is doing and many fairs have simply ran away leaving all those projects hanging. Help where you can.

I hate to say but we’ve heard nothing from Snohomish county or the Evergreen Youth Livestock show about trying to do something for the kids who raised animals this year. Fair is cancelled. See ya next year. Sorry, kids! That’s about it.
