McKenzie unit. That's OTC rifle and archery.  Unless you drew the muzzy tag.  Assuming you're planning OTC, what is drawing you to McKenzie of all the units?  And yes, archery or rifle decision is important as elk aren't in the same spot between the two seasons.  If doing archery, there are better units than McKenzie if you're going to pay the hefty non-res elk tag price.....

Will send a PM.

I was going to rifle hunt it. I picked it cuz it has alot of wilderness ground to get away from people. And the season works out well with my plan on taking off all of october to hunt

Getting away from people is a relative term.  A large proportion of the valley hunters head to the Cascade units since they are OTC tags. They try for an eastside tag and then go coast or Cascades if unsuccessful. Seems like everyone who owns a horse heads to the wilderness.  Some of the most successful elk hunters I know hunt in and adjacent to clearcuts just outside the wilderness.
