Me either, but I called WDFW on how to buy the tag (I was drawn) and they told me that I had to buy it by July 31 (yesterday) because they go on sale Aug. 1.
-
It's not today. Can't find anything on it.
-
The WDFW hasn't put out any kind of notification yet as to when they will go on sale. They probably won't even know until Monday if there are any leftovers.
-
Anybody know if WDFW let's you give back your tags?
I emailed them with the question, but doubt I'll hear back soon. Long story, but I won't be using my multi-season this year due to the move. Nor the special permit I drew. So much for those plans. Crazy how fast life can change.
Would be nice if they could reallocate my multiseason tag into the leftover pool of tags....
-
From what I understand you needed to surrender your general tag to an authorized point of sale before wdfw closed on Friday, that or submit an email stating your intentions to purchase the MS tag by midnight the 31st of July and on Monday anyone that contacted them via email will have their general tag cancelled and then have the opportunity to purchase the MS tag at a point of sale or online.
I asked about the left over deer and elk MS tags and when they will be available and this is the email I got from the Montesano office of wdfw.
"Thank you for contacting the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
The exact day of sales for the leftover elk multi-season tags has not yet been announced (usually mid August). Our licensing and wildlife departments are working out the details and will announce the information in a news release and on our website soon."
Last year the date they went on sale was August 22nd
-
All years previous “IF “you weren’t drawn you get a email stating you can buy a multi season deer tag and you gotta call as soon as the opening day when they open sometimes there are a ton of tags and you could get one in September .but elk you you gotta be Johnny on the spot and get real lucky to get a extra one
-
If we didn't surrender our deer tag by Friday we are unable to buy any of the leftover multi-season tags that will go on sale?

Yeah, that doesn't make sense. We don't even know yet if there are any leftovers.
-
It was for those that got drawn and wanted to purchase the tag but already had their general season tag. They needed to have emailed the dfw by midnight Friday of their intension so dfw could cancel their GS tag on monday in order to purchase the MS tag after that.
The leftover tags are a whole different animal and will go on sale to those who didn't get drawn and you will surrender your GS deer tag at the time of the MS tag purchase or possibly email the dfw to cancel your GS tag and order a MS tag online.

Has anyone heard amything on this?

I talked to a woman today at WDFW, she said everyone who applied for a multi season deer tag would receive an email that would tell them when any surplus tags would be available.

Did not realize that.... the WDFW and I have an agreement... EVERY year I put in for everything, get drawn for nothing and then I buy my multiseason deer tag in August,,, thought this year I would just skip that step, well damn...

I could send you a message when I get my email and you could go to the dealer and get turned down in person. Maybe you could get all pissed off and tell the clerk what you think of WDFW, MIght be fun for the other people in line. Just a thought.

:yeah: That happened to me last year. I totally spaced and forgot to put in for the drawing. Then I learned that since I didn’t put in I couldn’t buy the leftovers. It annoyed me at the moment but it is the fair way to distribute the tags in my opinion. I only wish they were a little faster at setting the leftover sale date so we can start making plans.

Is there usually a cutoff date what they stop selling leftover multi deer tags?

I like the way they are dealing with the 115 remaining multi season elk permits. That's the way it should have always been done. I guess the China virus is good for something.

Best news I have had in awhile :chuckle: Thanks
-
Wait, did they change it to an Online purchase for elk multi?? If so, what about our tags already in hand??
-
Deer hunters who bought a multi-season tag application earlier this year but were not selected in the April drawing will have their chance to buy one of 2,723 remaining multi-season deer tags starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18.
Available on a first-come, first-served basis, the tags can be purchased online at https://fishhunt.dfw.wa.gov/#/login, over the phone at 360-902-2464, or at an authorized WDFW license dealer.
Hunters who want to buy a deer multi-season tag must have purchased a 2020 deer multi-season special hunt application and have a general season deer license before buying a multi-season tag. Hunters who already have their 2020 general season tag must surrender it by contacting the WDFW Licensing Department at 360-902-2464 before buying the multi-season tag.
Hunters who purchase a multi-season tag will not lose points in their multi-season special hunt application categories.
The next sequential 115 hunters on the original official draw list of elk multi-season tags will have an opportunity to buy those remaining tags. The existing official draw list from April is being used to prevent large group gatherings at retail locations during the COVID-19 pandemic and to keep the opportunity fair.
Elk hunters can also login on the WILD System after 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, to see if they are eligible to buy an elk multi-season tag. The 115 winners of the remaining elk multi-season tags will receive an email from WDFW notifying them that they are eligible to buy a multi-season elk tag.

Heck yeah, great way to do it. Furthermore, I hope they continue with that list when/if the 115 tags don't sell out completely.

I basically like this new approach also, but I guess I'll never purchase a left over Multi Elk four years in a row as I once did. That said, this does create an issue for some hunters, myself included. Since I didn't draw the Multi tag this year, I then went on and put in for my draws. I drew a "team" Modern Firearm Antlerless Elk" tag. Great news for me, but now I have an issue. I sure as heck don't want to draw that multi tag now and burn all my points up.
So, I just got off the phone with WDFW, "Dan" was a nice fella, and he put a ticket in on my profile so that if I am one of the 115 that get notified I can call back with my ticket number and resolve it after the fact. Hope that wouldn't "burn" a tag for someone, but I don't want to "burn two tags" on me in one year.
-
Can wdfw just make deer over the counter already and cap it at 8000 tags.
-
Make people front the money before the draw would fix the whole process of left over elk tags.
-

I'm probably number 116 anyway...

How fast will the 2000 ish deer tags sell out? And what if you surrender your current tag and aren’t able to get multi season? I’ve never done this in the past..

115 surplus elk multi-season tags awarded; 2,723 over-the-counter deer tags available on Aug. 18
OLYMPIA — Hunters who bought a multi-season permit application for elk earlier this year, but were not selected in the April drawing, may be one of the additional 115 people who will be selected for surplus elk multi-season tags.
In past years, hunters would camp out and form lines for the opportunity to secure this coveted elk permit. Given the risk of COVID-19, the department is releasing the tags differently this year.
"The next sequential 115 hunters on the original official draw list of elk multi-season tags will have an opportunity to buy the remaining tags," said Peter Vernie, WDFW Licensing Division Manager. "By using the existing official draw list from April, this prevents large group gatherings at retail locations and keeps the opportunity fair."
Elk hunters can also login on the WILD System after 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18 to see if they are eligible to buy an elk multi-season tag. The remaining 115 elk multi-season tag winners will receive an email from WDFW notifying them that they are eligible to buy a multi-season elk tag.
Beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Aug. 18, 2,723 deer multi-season tags will also be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Hunters can buy licenses online, over the phone, or at an authorized Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) license dealer. WDFW regional offices and headquarters in Olympia remain closed to in-person license sales.
Hunters who want to buy a deer multi-season tag must have bought a 2020 deer multi-season special hunt application and have a general season deer license before buying a multi-season tag. Hunters who already have their 2020 general season tag must surrender it by contacting the WDFW Licensing Department at (360) 902-2464 before buying the multi-season tag.
Multi-season deer tags are $139.10, and multi-season elk tags are $182.00. Tag costs are the same for residents and non-residents. There will not be a purchase deadline for the elk or deer multi-season tags.
Multi-season deer tags will remain on sale until the tag limit is reached. Hunters who purchase a multi-season tag will not lose points in their multi-season deer or elk special hunt application categories.
Hunters with multi-season tags can hunt all three weapon choices (modern firearm, muzzleloader, archery), season permitting, until their tag is filled.
The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife is the state agency tasked with preserving, protecting, and perpetuating fish, wildlife, and ecosystems, while providing sustainable fishing, hunting, and other recreation opportunities.

I don't think deer tags will sell out.
I called today about surrendering my tag and the gentleman at WDFW said it has to be done after 10:00am tomorrow. I thought maybe I would be able to do it now and avoid the rush. I joked and said that they are going to be slammed with phone calls in the morning. He laughed and said yeah probably. They must be used to it.
-
I called and just surrendered mine with no problems.

Glad to see everyone is on the same page over there in Olympia.
-
Phone lines have been busy all day at WDFW and not even the dealers could get through so at some point they just opened it up so you can buy it without calling first. Not sure if that’s just for today or not. I finally got through and the gentleman said just make sure to mail in your tag or drop it off at a dealer.
-
Vancouver SW was moving them thru quick on the deer tags.
-
After being on hold for 90 minutes and unsuccessfully trying to get one in person at Big5(The phone lines were busy for the dealers as well), I was magically able to purchase one online without surrendering it first. I'm glad I got one, but there has got to be a better way for WDFW to implement this. Hopefully they will sharpen their pencils and head back to the drawing board.

Same. I don't see why they couldn't have just released the sale online and voided any general season tag after a multi-season was bought. Its an automated system anyway right?

Do you get a refund on the license/tag you turn in? $138 seems steep

I applied for the deer multi season tag. I didn’t draw it. I didn’t purchase my deer tag when I bought my license because I planned on buying a leftover multi season deer tag. I just bought one of the leftover multi season deer tags and it cost me $138.50. Not sure if I would have gotten a refund on my archery tag if I had already bought it and turned it in.

No refund on returned tags. You already paid for your license and tag before, just never selected a tag option.

We pay for a deer license, the tags are free (I guess) except multi season. Our group applies for multi season and if we don't get drawn, we select a weapon choice for deer. Then we can apply for special hunts. If we don't draw a special permit then we surrender our tags and try to get a leftover multi season tag. I surrendered the MZ tags just after 8am. I was surprised to be on hold for just a few minutes. Picked up the multi season deer tags at Sportman's after work.

Ok I see how that works. When I buy the Deer Elk Bear Cougar combo it comes with the tags. I just have to select the weapon for deer and elk if I don’t get a multi season tag.

My guess is the option to buy the MS tag before surrendering your general tag was for today only because of the high call volume they were getting. At least that’s what I was told by the sporting goods guy when I bought mine at the store today. You will probably need to call first then go online. Or like what ghost said just go to a dealer and buy it.

To help customers eligible to buy a multi-season deer tag, WDFW is allowing people to buy that tag without first canceling their general season tag for 𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗢𝗡𝗟𝗬.
We have seen a high call volume today from eligible customers trying to cancel their general season tag before buying the multi-season deer tag, and this temporary rule change is aimed at making the buying process faster and easier.
Customers interested in buying their multi-season deer tag can do so online at https://fishhunt.dfw.wa.gov/#/login or at a license dealer.
The general season tag will still need to be surrendered soon at a dealer or by contacting the WDFW Licensing Department at 360-902-2464, but multi-season deer tag purchases can proceed without that step for today only.
For those customers who have contacted us by email or left voicemails, we will reach out to you and help you secure a multi-season deer tag.
Hunters who want to buy a deer multi-season tag must have purchased a 2020 deer multi-season special hunt application and have a general season deer license before buying a multi-season tag.
Sales of the multi-season deer tags started this morning, and they are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Hunters who purchase a multi-season tag will not lose points in their multi-season special hunt application categories.
This change does not apply to the 115 winners of the remaining multi-season elk tags. Those hunters were contacted by email earlier today.

Expect them to sell out even faster if wdfw goes through with allowing scopes on muzzleloaders.
-

We can just call it early single shot rifle season.

Why would it cost the same for resident and non-residents?
-
Why would it cost the same for resident and non-residents?
They still have to pay the outrageous non resident deer license fee which is around 450, plus 110 for the multi season app, so a non resident would still be paying far out the ass for a poor quality product. Really dont think wdfw sells a lot of multi apps to non residents.

Reload and maintain a single shot rifle. Then do the same with a muzzleloader. Not even close to the same.
If you wore glasses for a near sighted vision issue it would make individuals understand better. Me personally I have a hard time focusing my sight picture with my target due to eye sight. And a 1 power scope would help with that.

A scope certainly adds substantial range to a muzzle loader. Reloading take a minute tops. A scoped muzzy could easily be a 400+ yard killer.

My longest reload ever was last year after I had just shot an elk. I popped another round in "just in case" (didn't end up needing it). I think it took me 2 minutes or so... Apparently my steel nerves turn to nothing after I see the animal on the ground :chuckle:
-
I don't believe in putting a high powered scope on a muzzleloader season. With that being said due you all think 1 powered scopes really add that much difference to you distance to shoot. I have a 1 powered site system on my muzzy. Its called peep site. Only real difference is it doesn't have the glass. Still the same site picture as far as magnification goes.
I can reload quick too with a muzzleloader. But no one can reload as quick as if they are using a single shot rifle. Also the maintenance in a muzzleloader is no comparison. And muzzleloaders are reliable but could never be considered as reliable as a center fire rifle.
-

What makes you think they will go this route been a real stern not a chance in the paste

The sight picture from even a 1x scope is vastly different than a peep sight. You vave precise crosshairs and not a bead that covers half the deer. Not to mention the ability to dial turrets to shot further with the precise aiming crosshairs.
As for the reliability, i have shot my knight 15 times in a row with exactly zero maintenance between shots. Load and shoot and repeat. Sure it gets tough to load after a few but still works.
You are correct tho its not as fast as a rifle.
In all you must have missed the sarcastic tone of my early single shot rifle season post.
I do think that any scopes are a terrible idea on muzzys as currently the sighting system is the limiting factor.
-
There's no question a scope is an advantage, even if it's 1x power. Better sight picture, quicker on target, easier to aim correctly, doesn't cover up the target, etc. Sights are definitely the limiting factor with the present regulations.
-
I'm just playing devils advocate. Using posts to try to bring different thoughts to the topic. Not singling anyone out with my replies.
Good point on using a turret system though. Didnt think of that.
-
With the power of a muzzleloader projectile I would never shoot a muzzleloader 400 plus yards at an animal. Energy levels drop very quickly. Its not only about site picture with shooting distances but what would energy levels be at that distance.
Thats where I difference with the scopes alot. People think I can see so I can shoot that far.
-
I guess then again if someones one of the150 gr charge lifted truck magnum shooting compensating hunter that could make some difference. Lots of variables.
-
I wouldn't shoot it 400 either. But I'd be a lot more likely to shoot an elk at 200 with a scope than I would be without one.
-
Im not saying i would or wouldnt shoot at an animal at 400 yards, but a 290 barnes starting at 1850 would hold 1000+ fps at 400 yards. Thats still packing some serious punch. I dont know if that is a reasonably attainable velocity but its in the middle of barnes data.
If it was allowed i would certainly scope up my muzzy to see what i could get out of it at distance accuracy wise.
I know guys already shoot 150-200 yards with them, but my eyes suck and i limit myself to much shorter than that with the open sights.
In all i think a scope on a muzzy absolutely defeats the purpose of a stand alone muzzy season. :twocents:
-
At 400 yards, that Barnes bullet will drop 96" assuming a 100 yard zero, that's 24 minutes (96 clicks) you would have to dial in the scope or holdover 8 feet? It's only packing about 665 ft lbs.
I wouldn't support optics of any kind on a muzzleloader. It's intended on being a shorter range, slower loading weapon and thus there is a different season than modern rifle.
-
Did anyone in here get through and buy a multi season deer tag before they sold out?
-
Yes my expected wait time was 6 minutes and if ended my call with canceling my tag after the 38 minute mark
But I got my multi season tag
-
 it took 38 min. to do 1 tag?
-
To say adding a scope to a muzzy wouldn’t effect anything is laughable ! I hunted UT the last year where you could use a scope with no magnification. I had a custom vortex on muzzy with a dot reticle. I could easily shoot that gun to 300 or more accurately.
-
Expect them to sell out even faster if wdfw goes through with allowing scopes on muzzleloaders.
We can just call it early single shot rifle season.
Reload and maintain a single shot rifle. Then do the same with a muzzleloader. Not even close to the same.
A scope certainly adds substantial range to a muzzle loader. Reloading take a minute tops. A scoped muzzy could easily be a 400+ yard killer.
You're quick! I always wait a moment because the instruction manual for my hawken said something to the effect that there could be a hot ember still down there so don't immediately dump powder down the barrel after a shot. That scared me into waiting so the next powder charge doesn't blow out in my face! Sounds like its just a precaution
-
 it took 38 min. to do 1 tag?
yep that was my calling time session and there were 6 other guys behind me that couldn’t get there calls to go through so we just handed my phone down the line at Fred Meyer and the lady at the game Dept helped them all and we all got our tags ! I only knew one other person but everyone was happy in the end
-
did it take each of them the same amount of time to get theirs?
I thought they had to be bought online, guess i messed up.
-
Went to BiMart in Eburg yesterday about 11:30, 3 guys in line in front of me, had my multiseason deer tag in 10 minutes, no issues!
-

no we just stayed on the line with her and it was maybe 5 minutes a person I sat on hold to begin with until I finally got through my buddy called 80+ times as all there calls kept getting disconnected
-
I bought mine online with no issues. Apparently it was a 1 day thing, you could get it on the WDFW website without surrendering your existing tag first. I’ll have to figure that out next week probably.
-
even if each took 10 min. to do it seems very odd that they were able to process that many in 1 day. :dunno:

Funny most the people I see at the range I would never trust them to shoot 400+ with a modern rifle. Most don't do the work to be a 400 plus shooter. Now add a muzzleloader that drops a ton. Although even with open sites I see people trying 300 yard plus shots. Just ridiculous.
The scope at 1 power would make things more efficient though.

There was 0 reason to go to any vendor when it went all online

Multi season deer tags sold out ? I dont think hat has ever happened
-

Lots and lots of walk in dealers.
-
:yeah: i don't know why i thought had to be bought online.i tried all day and was never able to get thru, then next day same then find out they were gone. :bash:
-

I bought mine online at about noon. I somehow thought that they went on sale today instead of yesterday. I happened to drop by Hunt WA And saw all the guys talking about them being sold so I went online to my WDFW account and bought mine. Because I had planned on purchasing a surplus tag I had held off on selecting my deer tag , I didn’t have to turn it in to buy the multi season tag.
-
This has been beat to death, but seriously the solution fire this madness is to make everyone pony up for the tag at the beginning. It would drastically improve draw odds too. :twocents:
-
I bought one around 1:30 pm today by calling WDFW. They weren't sold out, they had just suspended sales until they figured out the mess the online sales created yesterday. I would call tomorrow and ask again.
-
Interesting , the other day it allowed me to purchase one online and now it is gone but multi season elk still shows .

Same issue I had because I still had to surrender my tag. I surrendered it over the phone and bought a MS tag within 15 minutes. Dropped my old tag in the mail and should have the MS tag in 7 to 10 days.

I did call just before posting earlier @3:09 pm,she said they were sold out.

I wonder how many hunters that put in for points only were able to purchase. :dunno:
not sure if it says anywhere that they can't.
-
Have you guys tried to go into a vendor and swap tags? Every time I talked with WDFW I was told a different story so I sent my daughter into Bi-Mart today and she swapped my tag with no issues as long as you were in the draw.
-

I did

It just says you had to have purchased an application. A points only application is still an application.
But then again it also says they will be sold first come first serve and apparently that isnt the case so who knows what they actually decide theyre doing.
-

I did
 wasn't meaning anything negative,i read it the same way:purchase is purchased.I meant more along the lines of changing minds or whatever.Seems like a good idea to put in for points only and build points especially if you're able to buy a leftover tag anyway.then down the road when things get even more jacked up with the system(like now sold in one day)you have better odds of drawing outright and not have to worry about getting one. :twocents:
-
Thats exactly what ive been doing for the last 4-5 years. Points only app to give myself the option to buy later on.
-
No worries, just trying to help others get MS tags. I have a receipt from 1:22 pm today, but I did call yesterday to inquire why I didnt an option to buy one online. I spoke to a nice gentleman that noted I had called yesterday and in less than 15 minutes I was done. I think if you called yesterday because you didn't have the option online then they essentially reserved a MS tag for you. I have a hard time believing they sold 2700 permits in 24 hours. If I didn't have one already then I would be calling again tomorrow.
-
-
I picked up my multi season around 4 pm on the 18th. And to my surprise the lady didn’t bother taking my old deer tag. I guess I have two deer tags now. :chuckle:
-
I bought mine online 1st day about 10:30 or so. It took me a frustrating 10 minutes to figure it out but I finally did. I clicked on everything and couldn't find anything. Logged out a d went back to their email and logged in from their link and was able to get it done from there. It wouldn't give me the add to cart option until I went through their link.
-
I'm shocked as much as everyone that they are sold out. This throws a kink in the plans since I already took the week off for muzzy deer hunting. So I'm looking into an OTC tag out of state. Does anyone still have those available?
-
No way!
I talked to a guy down there on the 17th He said it has never sold out. No reason to be in a rush to purchase it.
Man if it is, I really messed up waiting a couple days.
Are You guys 100% sure of this info?
-
I snoozed I loosed..........go figure, first time ever I am without this permit.
-
I snoozed I loosed..........go figure, first time ever I am without this permit.
Did you call and ask or did you just read this thread haha ?
-
Tried to purchase online
-
I’m calling tomorrow morning to verify.
I will report back with clear 100% info.
-
I called today around 3pm. The lady I spoke with told me they sold out the first day.
Seems strange that it doesn't even show up on the licensing website. Elk is sold out (as always) and shows up on the site with a grayed out button. Multi-season Deer Tag is plain missing.
Sounds like a system glitch to me.
-
They definitely didnt sell out the first day. I bought one the 2nd day and I know of another member that was able to get one yesterday after calling them. I think anyone that called on day one because you couldn't buy one online has been able to buy a tag.
-
Ok
this is the short of it
they messed up on multiple levels (shocker), not answering emails, online sale issues, in store people sales unable to get threw to call them.
they have locked the sale of multi season deer. Not 100% sold out yet.
the reason is to allow the people that emailed them on the 18th to have an opportunity to still buy a multi season deer tag. for the rest of us we are out of luck this year.
They got blown up with calls and could not keep up. they did not anticipate this level of popularity as it had never sold out in the past.
I'm angry because I called the day before to set it up and that don't count :(
also tried to get it online and the option was not there :(
none of these reasons are accepted at this time. only if you emailed on the 18th do you have a tag set aside for you. guess I chose the wrong way to get My muli tag this year. I'm really Bummed out.
Guy was friendly but hurts none the less. I guess I'll have to focus 100% on bear :(
-
At least you got the scoop. I tried calling again and the phone just rings once, makes a beeping noise, and then disconnects.
Good luck bear hunting.
-
Sheesh, how could they have not known they were going to get a ton of calls? Maybe the theory was that this would be the one thing in the whole country having to do with outdoors that wasn't going to be hugely popular.
-

Because it has never ever been an issue before. They have never sold out, even on Dec 30th there are normally tags left, so why would they think it would sell out in hours?... I know I never would have thought it possible.

I tried to put up a bit of a fight, I think that's the reason for the explanation given.
I told him I feel like I did what I was told to do on Monday.
I'm over it now. I have never got a Bear before. Now I have a reason to focus on them until October rolls around.

They have had record license sales, other states have sold out quicker, and basically everything having to do with the outdoors is flying off the shelves.
Fishing participation is probably 2-3x last year. EVERYTHING outdoors is gangbuster, tents, RVs, boats, fishing, hunting, hiking, everything.
At the end of the day, how could they justify not having a system to sell the available licenses? As someone that doesn't participate, if you take a step back and think about a system where you are supposed to go to Walmart and hand your old tag in and then have them call WDFW to process it? Seriously, that's the system?
Now, there are people that paid to enter, followed the process which included an opportunity to by leftovers and didn't get a license. That sounds like a pretty foul deal, if it was a private entity they would call it fraud.
-
Yes, it's a very messed up way to sell the leftovers. It's too complicated. I think someone else mentioned this previously, but it should be just a permit, not an entirely new tag. Just like a regular special permit, which now is just an 8 1/2 by 11 sheet of paper. Let people keep the tag they already have, and use it during any of the seasons. Yes, it will have archery, muzzleloader, or modern firearm printed on it, but so what? Your separate piece of paper that says Multi Season Permit makes the tag you have valid during all seasons. Better yet, let people use a photo of the permit that they can keep on their phone, so they don't have to worry about keeping the permit with them at all times.
This would eliminate the hassle of having to turn in the tag you already have before you can purchase the new tag.

I’ve wrote wdfw asking why this is done like this and it’s no different than having to carry your special permit with you when you draw a tag. Wdfw has to make it so difficult

Another vote for this. Well done Bobcat!
-
Good points Bobcat.
A couple times while purchasing this tag in the past, the dealers we completely unaware that they were supposed to take my original tag. I think this happens frequently.
I know someone in this thread even mentioned that they now have two tags since the first one wasn't taken. One is null and void but I'm sure that's not stopping a lot of people from using them.
-
I managed to get one yesterday also. It took some effort though. I had tried on Tuesday right when it opened but was unable to online like the rest of us. I called and sat on hold for an hour and had to leave for a meeting before getting anyone to pick up. I left a message that afternoon on another phone call. I went down in person on Wednesday morning and the dealer found out they were sold out when he called to give them my rifle tag number. Then I heard from another member on here he got his tag after I initially had went down in person and was told they were sold out. I called again with a different number and got someone to pick up. Luckily I had remembered the ladies name that I eventually got through to to leave a message with on Tuesday. I gave the new lady that name and the date and time I had called and left the message. She put me on hold for 45 minutes while she tried to track down her boss and then she hung up on me by mistake. After another call I found out I was able to get a tag because I had contacted them the day they went on sale. They had reserved some tags for people who had called in or emailed and did not get responses. The usual BS with WDFW:)
-
No issues at all. Logged in clicked on the link and paid. Done in 5 minutes.
-
I did not even have the option in my profile online to buy it. Did you not apply for a deer special hunt? I guess if you had a tag already the option was not available online.

Ya I realize my second tag isn’t Actually valid. But buying the multi season in person was one of the easiest permit transaction I have had.

Called today and was told they sold out.... :yike: I hope this was just a lazy person who didn't really know but I would not be surprised.

i think you're a little late to the party. They sold out in a day or two.

I was less than 6hrs. I was going to buy when I got home @4pm and they were long gone.
-
Sold out in hours, as did other states, people can not go to Canada, hunting or fishing, other States sold out earlier then ours went on sale. So people forced to stay home gobbled them up. If the world gets back to normal, I doubt they will sell out again.
-
That’s a bummer they all sold out anyway. I was drawn for the multi season tag, but after the *censored* they pulled with shutting hunting and fishing down, I refused to pay for it. I’ve done everything I can this year and will for the rest of my life to not support WDFW. Bummer to know WDFW got their money anyways! Oh well, got 9 years left in this quagmire of a state, then I’m gone!
