Looking out the kitchen window this morning.
-
Good to see a new crop.
-
Even with four tags I can't seem to shoot them fast enough each fall to put a dent in them. Hopefully some new hunters can find some success this year.
-
Kinda glad we had a poor hatch this year. They are getting real thick
-
My youngest son will be trying to get his first bird this fall. Sounds like there probably won't be a shortage.
Poor hatch for turkey? Is the same true for the grouse this year?
-
Great pic. Nothing like that to see here on the Wetside.

You filling your tags on your property? If so, and you'd like some assistance, new procurer of turkey meat here. Would be happy to make the drive to help out!!

I drive over from the westside every year to do my civic duty for my fellow Washingtonians in the Colville area. I target nuisance birds on private property during fall with great success. They are thick in the fall near ranches and farms.

I am going to try to make it out to the eastside in November, but I have had crap luck for seeing turkey on anything but peoples lands lol. I have 4 tags to fill still
-
I've only been turkey hunting a couple of times with no luck. Maybe in the Spring, I can come over and help you with some of those. :)

Just went to the shop, neighbor has about 40 of them wandering around. Yesterday afternoon when I was leaving herded a couple of dozen down the driveway. Have been working in the shop and heard what sounds like someone throwing stuff against the wall. It is the turkies scratching and slinging dirt against the wall. 😠😠😠

If you’re in need of some assistance PM me, I’m a vet taking off work for Veterans Day next week looking for something to do and would love to help with your problem.

Couple weeks ago I saw a field with 80-90 turkeys in it. Biggest flock I've ever seen!!!! Woman walking down the road, I stopped to tell her that I'd never seen a flock like that. She lived right there and said she had counted 140 in the same field the week before!! Lots of birds in the Goldendale area!!!

I wish they were in season in that area!
