WY elk is a late October rifle hunt and I'm looking for a better than average bull so it'll be a lot of glassing. Find the right one, slip in and kill him.

Post by: Crunchy on August 17, 2020, 11:31:18 PM: I prefer to call them in, but have a good area that elk move through a lot. So probably do a bit of both. I hate to still hunt, but odds are really good at filling a tag if I can be patient. Maybe try to chase some bugles in the AM then still hunt the mid day.

I get out there before light start hiking around listening. When I hear them making sounds I get the wind in my face and move in.
