Hey gang, my hunting partner can't join me this year. I'm renting a trailer to leave on Thursday the 10th. It's mall but has a kitchen and full bathroom. I plan to go to some areas I know around Mt. Adams, but am not married to that area. I'm looking for someone to hunt with. Your assistance on the trailer cost is from $0 to whatever you can afford. I'm spending $1500. I'm an excellent cook and we'll eat well. I drink and smoke cigars and I like to hunt elk. If you're interested, please chime in. Good times in camp. Good hunting. Let me know.

Awesome offer if I wasn't tied up already I'd be all over this best of luck!

Pianoman, I wish I had seen this post a few weeks ago. I too have lost several long term hunting partners to various reasons beyond any of our control this year. We usually set a large comfortable wall tent camp for elk down in the SW corner of Washington for the archery elk season. I believe in hunting hard but coming back to a very comfortable camp so that I can hunt hard the next day. I have been able to hook up with a few fellow Archery elk fanatics this year and have salvaged what I had begun to believe was a lost season for me. It made no sense at my age to go down and hunt alone in the temps that we can experience in the early season and waste an animal by not being able to get it out of the woods quick enough all by myself. I wish you good luck this year and If you find yourself in a similar situation next year don't hesitate to message me.
We may be able to put something together. -Rock

Maybe I can pull my trailer into your camp. I keep the volume of the Miles Davis down to a minimum at night!

You had me going with what I assume is a good single malt scotch and a cigar..... You sealed it with Miles Davis... I think we are Brothers of different mothers. I wish you could drag that trailer down where we are at but it is a rough road in and such a small spot we barely can set a wall tent in it.

Wish I saw this earlier also
Been archery hunting since 81
All my old archery elk pards have faded away
This year bought a rifle tag just in case I didn’t get drawn for MT
Dang
Good luck with your hunt

Geez, Pman. I'm alone about the same time but in NE Oregon. Son needs to head home for a few days before coming back. Two old goats hunt'n alone. I'll wish you good hunting as we look up to the same moon and stars each night.

Eastern or Western Tag? I have a western, I like cigars and I like a good drink! I'm a first generation hunter, started 2 years ago just learning on my own. Got close two years ago but ran out of season.
Anyways, How many days are you planning on being out? I have been e-scouting south of Packwood already so have looked at that area a little. I could take Thursday - Sunday off. I don't have a ton of extra money right now (remodeling my house) but I am interested in your offer and can pitch in. I can hold my own in the woods with a pack on, so unless you're hiking in 10 miles i'll be alright. PM me if you don't mind a rookie!

Western. I normally hunt near Trout Lake. I'm planning on leaving the 10th and returning the 20th. If that works for you, we should try to meet in advance somewhere between Graham and Vancouver.

Good luck, Elksnout. Make sure you activate that Inreach or Spot before you go. Us old guys can't take any chances.

Man, Piano, I wish I could take you up on this! I love that Mt Adams country. Would be worth it just for the conversation, cigars, and whiskey! Hope you find a good partner.

I don't know if I could take a full week off, the construction industry is stupid busy right now. I would also be willing to tent camp if you find somebody wanting to go the whole 10 days, I'm just looking for somebody to go with. But yes, I would be willing to meet up half way before then. I'll PM you my number right now.

Maybe you could schedule an upcoming sickness for specific dates! I wish you could, my friend. We'd have a damned good time, some good hunting, great food, and interesting discussions over drinks and cigars. Maybe someday. I'd look forward to it.

The cooking alone would be worth it to anyone interested  nice offer John.

Probably be the safest camp in Wa to eat locally harvested mushrooms!
