I needed something to replace my aging Ruger M77 MKII 300wm that I’ve been hunting with since 2006. I wanted to build a lighter weight rifle and just haven’t had time. So I ended up buying a Tikka T3x Superlite in 300wm to fill the void for a while.
I ordered a Mountain Tactical 20moa rail and a set of MDT Elite scope rings.

I had a Tikka T3 lite in 300wm, loved that gun. Kicked like a mule, but was extremely accurate with factory ammo. I don’t think you’ll regret the purchase.
-
Geez nooo!! Just because its light, affordable, and accurate? Cmon we’re better than that! :-) :chuckle:

You will not regret your decision, welcome to the club!

I looked at one last week i just can’t get passed the stock.

I have the same one and another in 30-06. Never considered myself to be a dark side type person but if that’s the word, I’m very ok with it. I run factory stocks on both but purchased an aftermarket bell and Carlson(I think) for a 243 awhile back and it was damn nice. Unfortunately I sold it to a brown Toyota Tundra driving west side member years back so he could hunt the bigger forest grouse over here.
Not sure how faired or liked it :dunno:

Can’t go wrong with a tikka.
I bought my first one back in 2005. Loved it so much I’ve bought a couple more over the last few years. Been happy with all of em. The super light model I have shoots exceptionally well. I’ve talked quite a few people into getting them and everybody has been happy with them

I will eventually buy a new stock for it. Looking at the Mesa Precision Altitude stock.
-
I love my tikka in 338 Winchester mag. Put a limb saver recoil pad on. Makes recoil feel like 30-06

Nice! Those look like awesome stocks. I put a bell and Carlson on my super light. It’s a little on the heavy side but I like the feel of it. Looks pretty good too

:yeah: Have one on my Tikka t3 lite 300wsm and it's real nice to shoot.

They’re ugly but I feel they’re one of the better factory poly stocks

I agree, the factory Tikka stock is stiffer in the fore end than most factory plastic stocks.
-
I bought a Tikka 25-06 five years ago and just love it, very accurate with factory ammo.

That’s cheap compared to some other brands of stocks out there. Hopefully I can find a mint used one for cheaper.

Still have one in that caliber in the safe. Great caliber in a smooth cycling, quick handling gun. Some, very few, dislike Tikkas. Some have been outspoken on these pages. Assume they never shot, hunted, carried one in the field. And those detractors seem to be quiet. Or absent 👍

Just got my wife a tikka t3x roughtech in 7mm. Absolutely love it, sighted it in Saturday and I say it’s ready to go.
-
Got mine dialed in over the weekend. Final weight without sling is 8lbs 6oz. Recoil is so sever it’s flattening the tips of my Accubonds in the magazine.
-
I just had my barrel threaded on my 300wsm t3lite, threw the can on and this was the 5 shot group at 200 yards. I can live with that.

I’d be happy with that too!

Very accurate guns out of the box. Love the ones I have.

Tikka and Sako clips aren’t to good with longer polymer tip bullets take a dremmel tool and carefully take some out of the inside of the clip where the polymer tip is at it’ll solve the problem
-
“Clips” go in my daughters hair. Mag boxes or magazines go in rifles.👍

:yeah: Limb saver worked great on my 300WSM
