Opened thinking this was going to be Jay Inslee thread.

I saw a very big one right on the doorstep of a locked vault toilet once. Unbelievably big.

Biggest i seen was that time i couldnt quite make it back to my truck for tp and had to cut up my shirt.
-
I found one tucked way in a thicket that looked like horse hockey, a pile about 1' in diameter and 4" thick. He had to have been big.

I can believe we have been reduced to this. :chuckle:

I spent a few months as an elephant handler, the four elephants produced about 800lbs a day, plus bedding straw and food waste it was right at a half ton of shoveling every day. A big elephant dump was around 60-70lbs

I should have taken a pic, but just last week I came across a pile of bear scat that was red bull sized round. Not being a very knowledgeable bear guy, I’ve been told that the size of the pile doesn’t necessarily matter as much as the diameter of the logs are, in determining size of bear putting it down.

I have nothing to add, but I feel like it would be a mistake not to follow this thread. This has the potential to pass the Bigfoot thread in Hunt-WA importance... :peep:

Back on track......

OK..here it is again...Holy Crap!! Look at the impact point in the gravel road...no gravel left.. The sound probably echoed through the canyons...

Ouch! I can relate, it's kinda like day 3 or 4 after a sole diet of freeze dried chow. :4w:

Is that what is called "Barry Trotz". Sorry, some NHL playoff humor.
Some bear poop is staggering. I had one taking a dump in my yard this summer that had been eating plums. I was curious. I broke one up and found 217 pits. They were small, but still, for even small plums, that's a lot of plums.

Do you need first and last name?

Ok that is a new one, never seen one crap a 330 Win Mag round before :dunno:

I once was bow hunting elk in SW WA in an area of mixed wetlands and Douglas-fir forest. There were a lot of the native crabapple trees, and apparently a very large black bear had been gorging on the tiny apples. It had left several piles of scat that were 2-3 gallons in volume. It staggered me that that was possible. The crabapples were still recognizable, but the bear must have derived some nutrition from them.
-
Those apples were supposed to be for the deer !!! :yike: :dunno: :chuckle:

Big boy there!.. about 15 yrs ago while up Matheny Ridge I came across a pile of bear scat that was so big you couldnt fit it all in a large costco coffee can.

I came across scat this size minus the .300 round, up in the Boulder cave area.
-
Might be this 2" diameter huckleberry pile

Once while I was trying to sneak up on a bear feeding on huckleberries. I lost track of the bear, and did a slow circle to my left not really knowing where it went. About that time, I all but stepped on a blue grouse. No pictures, but that was one big pile I left!

Looks like something from Dairy Queen!

I was hunting moose in AK. Came across a spot where a griz ate a moose. The bear obviously stayed there till it was done with the moose. The bear scat covered a lot of ground and I reckoned it would be enough to filled at least 2 55 gallon barrels. That was long before I had a digital camera. No pictures but it sure was a sight to see.

When I was much younger and out deer hunting me and three friends came on a steaming pile of apples and black berries that wa 2 ft rnd and 18 inches high. We left the area immediately. I'd like to hope it was sasquatch instead of a monster bear. By the way this was Willamette valley in the foothills so either a black bear of epic proportion or a squat has with no toilet paper

This
:yeah: :yeah: :yeah: :yeah: :yeah: LMAO !!!!

We were on JBLM scouting when we came across some interesting sign. Though it was not the biggest bear poop I have seen on the base, this one seemed to come with a story. I'll let you guys figure it out.
We saw several different items, MRE pouches that appeared to be chewed on and/or ripped apart, the usual scat full of seeds, and a substance that appeared to be vomit. Some of the MRE wrappers were small and intermixed with the vomit substance. Some of the tan containers were just ripped and lying on the ground.
After looking at this garbage for awhile we surmised that a bear ate the MREs still in the envelope and ingested the plastic wrapper. Thus the bear got sick vomited the plastic at the same time pooped out a moderate load on the dirt road. Sh*t, now I got to find the photos i took with my phone.

Ouch, that explosion would not be good, burning out both ends.😲

Thought this one was picture worthy
-
Not in the running for biggest, but what are the odds? :dunno:
-
I have seen piles that look like a basketball cut in half. But sadly I don’t have pics.
-
You don't wanna know :o

I saw a few this past week that I didn't think were possible. The only thing that seems reasonable is that the bear returned to the same pile a few times to make a few more deposits.
