Title: Are these elk on onx maps?

Just curious to see what you guys think. Look like elk to me and I get plenty on a game cam about a mile from here.

I will add that I use the phrase "Look like elk to me.", loosely. Obviously its impossible to tell, but it is either elk or cattle. Just thought it was a cool to possibly see elk on onx.

Very well could be. Its National Forest and cattle wonder wherever. This meadow has a fence along most of it but its all open range.

Here are a couple groups of elk that I’ve found on onXmaps. Seems to me they are usually tightly grouped up like the pics below. Not sure why  :dunno:

Wolves of course. That’s why there all huddled up in a circle

Can't really decide on any of this without more precise coordinates...  :chuckle:

Here is a Google Earth vs. OnX comparison of what I'm almost positive are elk, due to the fact of their location in very rugged terrain.

It's not a complete "monumental" secret, the blown down trees should give a good indicator as to the general location.  ;)

Hanford? .... No but seriously, that does look like a commonly used mineral lick. Where are the blown down trees in the other pic?  :dunno:

I spend a lot of time on google and onx maps. I've seen a lot of cattle and some elk on the online maps, those look like cattle to me. When I've seen elk on online maps they are colored like elk and look like elk, you will know it if you see elk.

Definately would never guarantee anything i see on a satelite internet site. That being said I included 2 screenshots, of 2 different locations from google earth with the gps coordinates on the pics. I have spent an  extensive amount of time at and near both sites and there are an abudance of elk, and zero sign of cattle. Guessing either mineral depost....or minerals intentionally deposited.....

ON THE MONUMENT! Yeah I'm sure they are elk too. There are tons of areas like this. Are we just trying to decide if they are elk or if it's a mineral lick?
