I was out yesterday bear hunting/deer season pre scouting.
Behind a locked gate, high elevation,I couldn't walk in there without counting a dozen mule deer or more and about a dozen moose as well ,a few years ago.
I've been in there a handful of times this year haven't seen a deer at all-no deer tracks at the springs in the area.
I did see a bull moose a few weeks ago ,so maybe a handful of moose left.
Big rocks at the gate have been moved so ATV can drive around.
Long story short won't be returning to the area for deer season this year.
But while I was in there I think I figured out where they went.
Into a big pile of dog $#!+.

guessing NE corner? Wolves, ticks, and other predators would be my guess. Locals and who ever else that are in the area and see a wolf, shoot the damn thing.
