Title: Strange looking deer....
Post by: WapitiTalk1 on September 26, 2020, 05:19:47 PM
on the cam I checked today. It seems an alternate species has found the sweet cob I put out for black tail.  This is one of my better deer bait spots where I set up a mini blind about 150ish yards away. Got a handful of deer on the cam over the last week snacking on apples but it appears, these stinky birds like the cob also

I don’t think there’s a fall season in my GMU but haven’t really dug into it. Even if, don’t think I’d shoot one of those shoe leather tasting critters  :chuckle:

I get them on cam occasionally out in Willipa Hills of all places, I even heard them gobbling last spring..  You'd never buy a tag for 50 bucks to hunt a bird you've never even seen in the woods though..
