Wanting to take the wife over to shoot a nice mule deer. It’ll be her first mulie. We both are good workers and will help fix whatever you need fixed!! And volunteer fire fighters for our small town that we live in. Let me know and let’s do it!!
-
So how much property is available? Any other hunters at the same time? Chores you say?
-
Soo I see some folks are NOT willing & just are unbelieving,,,
This aera IS on all PuBlic lands, DNR, WDFW.. All along the lake 40+ miles in small aera's at at small pull-over spots.
Yes there could others out there? but somebody out there maybe a local, BUT they already have a Farmers field's to go too.
I swear not one shot I heard of last season, (was too busy working @ the cabin too get out-in-the-field) :sry:
Its some local Yuppies here & they're way spread out, with the locals who just don't hunt here. I witnessed a 6 X 6 walking down the street @ 6 a.m. then cruised out to the Desert... WOW
In my yard two 3x3's. Rabbit, Quail/Doves.
Since the WDFW made the rules a 3 pt. minimum back in 2001 what quality deer I've seen in 20+ years now.
-
Soo IF Scott & his wife, R willing too step up? We choose you, Cantact mE ASAP. OTHERWHISE IT"S the next in line
-
I Ant't messin' around, just need a pair that R seroius...

I have a first-time hunter I'm mentoring if another opportunity surfaces. Selfless offer, look forward to hearing how the hunt goes!
-
How cool! If I didn't already have a plan in place for this season, I would be in touch. Good on you for the offer. Hopefully we get an update with your successes. :)

First, I think this is a great thing you are doing! It is always great when people are willing to share their resources with others. Honestly, I would like a little info about you.
1) You often reference "We" would that be a significant other, friend/family, or like, a mouse in your pocket?
2) Will you also be hunting the same areas? Do you expect to partner up with the person that comes along?
3) Chores? Like splitting wood and helping cook/clean? Or are you looking for labor in trade for a place to crash?
4) As others have asked. Do you have any history of success in the area?
Again, this is a fantastic offer but for people to want to get in on it I have a feeling they would like to know exactly what they are getting into.
-
Tagging. I live about 12 miles south of Coulee. Interested in how this turns out. Good luck to hunters who participate.
-
You keep calling the locals yuppies, yet you're from Duvall and you're inviting all comers on a public forum to come hunt an area.
Pot...meet kettle.
-
There are some really good questions being asked. Lots to consider when going hunting with someone for the first time.
We preach at hunter safety to choose your hunting partner wisely. Good to see everyone asking so many questions.

I can just imagine how this will end. If youve been around the block a few times, you know better. :chuckle:
-
I have no stake in the game. I just wouldn't disparage the locals of any area I hunt if I plan on keeping the air in my tires.
-
You guys remember what happened to James Caan at the cabin of Kathy Bates in the movie Misery?

I would hurt people that messed with my tires. Local or not.

Hi Folks, long time lurker, first time poster. I promise in the future I will be more positive. This was just too good to pass up.
I live out here, and would like to give my perspective on this. First, it does not endear you to locals anywhere to insult them. This area is about as far from yuppies as you can get. It seems like you have never actually talked to a local.
-It is not true that “NO ONE” hunts this area. It is just like anywhere else.
-It is not true that “THEY CANNOT touch OUR public lands!!!” I don’t even know what that means. You all are welcome to come out here and touch all the public land you want.
-Yes, “lookj out” for the turkeys. Lookj, but don’t shoot! These GMUs are not open for fall turkey.
-So, what are we, rich yuppies or farmers? Not everyone out here has a ”Farmer’s fields” to hunt.
-This area is not some unheard-of gem that somehow hasn’t been touched. Just because it doesn’t have a huge internet presence doesn’t mean it is not heavily hunted. But thanks for that.
I am not trying to spook anyone off their right to know about and hunt public land, but feel it is worthwhile to share a more accurate picture of the area. If this offer is legit, it may be a rewarding hunt and worth your while. If this gal turns out to be a super-scary dude, barbeques you for dinner and eats your face, don’t say I didn’t warn you.
In conclusion, please stop calling the locals yuppies. Or farmers. Or whatever.

Welcome to your first post. I think you raise some fair points and thanks for the clarification on the turkey season. I think there was also some confusion earlier about when rifle deer season opened this year.

..
-
Why is the gender of the poster so important here?
-
I don't think gender is the concern. I simply think there is a lot of skepticism about the offer.
-
I'm trying to figure out if cryder has two accounts.
-
Without pics it's a dude.

:yike:

So 40 miles of WDFW and DNR land by Coulee City...oh hell ya road hunting Banks Lake. I prefer Busch Light, but can choke down a Keystone to make sure no one pins me as a Coastie Yuppie.
-
I think without pictures of the person making the offer and pictures of the land this is simply a troll.
Sad butt true unless proven otherwise.
I hope I'm wrong.
