Moose love Mt Ash. In Alaska they tear branches off the trees if they find them.

Jumped one at 12 yards eating off a Mountain Ash. Had no clue he was there. Found this the next day.

Two autumns ago in mid to late Sept. I sat and watched a bear eat mountain ash berries for half an hour.  He was about 150 yards down and across a basin from me and I first noticed him when I saw bush tops moving.  He would reach up and pull down limbs to eat the berries.
