I had a great time with a solid group of friends hunting some new country for all of us. We drew the Owyhee tag this year and after lots of research, we were all nervous about it. My oldest daughter and I went down there in August for a week to do some scouting and spent five days on the reservoir. We only saw a few does during that trip so that the outlook was bleak.
I ended up hunting the lake for a few days and only saw does. I shot a 2x2 on day four but I really should have held out because we were turning up good bucks but not around the reservoir. We definitely hunted hard and put on the miles. We glassed till our eyes bled. The heat of the day made it so we could only hunt a few ours in the morning and the last two ours of light.
It was a great hunt though and we have it pretty figured out now. I would definitely put in for this unit again know what I know now. The coolest part of the hunt was being able to video via phonescope the big bedded 4x3 being shot.
Opening Day: the biggest buck, 4x4 and a 2x2
Day 2: 4x3
Day 3: 3x3
Day 4: 2x2
Day 5: 3x3

Nice bucks. Does Oregon require blaze orange face masks? :tung:
