Title: Plug rods?
Post by: Parasite on October 17, 2020, 03:25:44 PM: What length, power, action, weight rating rods do you guys use for backtrolling plugs in the river for steelhead? Also what brand and model?

Post by: J.Brower on October 17, 2020, 07:53:09 PM: Best plug rod I ever had was a St Croix bass crankbait rod! I think it was a blend of graphite and glass. Nice soft first 6”, but stiffened up quick after that. Only downside was the short butt. Sold it to a member here last summer. Landed a couple good sturgeon on it too!
