Title: Sons Grayback youth deer tag
Post by: Trail_Boss509 on October 17, 2020, 04:51:05 PM
Just looking for tips or advice on where the does might be hiding in grayback. My 12 yr old got drawn for his youth tag here. Haven’t seen much last two days. Any help is greatly appreciated. Heard plenty of rifle shots this morning. Congrats to all the hunters punching tags.

We were up around Black Butte opening day. Didn’t see anything. Heard plenty of shots. Sunday we were in soda springs area. Bumped a big 2 point out of his bed early morning.

Well. We didn’t get to fill sons for tag. But had a good time nonetheless. All the does we saw were on private lands a long way from any public patches. Seen a few bucks. None were legal. They were missing that elusive 3rd point. My son now sees the benefit of putting boots to the ground and going for a stroll. Thanks to everyone for the pointers. Much appreciated. Now it’s time to move on to elk season.
