It'd take some real stones to pass up that guy...
-
Oh to draw a tag there someday...
-
Assuming it was my tag, then that would mean I found that buck because I had backpacked in somewhere to come upon him, he’s coming home with me First day or any day and I’ll smile from ear to ear every time I’m reminded of the hunt.
-
Dat buck down low already.
-
-
Wow...
Very nice..
-
That one would be a conversation with the guy holding my rifle and my wife who is holding my bullets.
-
Stud, never had a tag but certainly would not hesitate if I did!
-
beautiful

I'd love to be in your shoes.

LOL!!
-
If I ever draw a Quality tag, I may have to trust someone to hold my bullets... (I don't think I trust myself)
That being said... If THIS buck walks out. I'm getting my bullets. :boxin: :hunter:
-
:hello: Sign me up! My tag starts in a couple weeks. Nice buck!
-
I’d wait, he’s really nice but a year or two from greatness.
-
You guys are crazy. That's a shooter in WA with dang near any tag.
-
TBD for me.
Is there a 4th point hiding in there? How wide?
-
Nice forks! I would like to look him over good if he was in 242. I'll be looking starting this evening.
-
I’m shooting any day
-
The odds of him surviving and then you finding him during season the next year are low at best. Im not passing a fine mature buck like that in hopes of seeing him in the future as a better buck.
-
Smoke him with my bow.!!
-
It's just about what has become an oil tag, these late mule deer tags. That's a very good deer. But you can't see the on side rear fork. The frame is mature, but he may not be very wide, his on side ear is laid back nearly flat and you can see where it's touching the main. I'm waiting for the AH-HA post from Bone that is more head on. The angle leaves too much to the imagination. It's a great deer, not sure based on the pic he's a first day Nov mule deer hunt critter. Keep in mind, I'd be ok with not taking a deer on that hunt in hopes of seeing everything I can.

PM sent........ :chuckle: Great pic as always

What unit? Entiat?

Nice one. :chuckle: Your lucky I even told you it was Washington

Absolute shooter

I don’t think I could pass that up. It would take an incredible amount of control...

lol, just needs more, BUT, I realize in real time with little time to judge him, it might be impossible to pass. I’ve killed a few deer that if I had more time to judge them I’d have passed on. And he is thin antlered
-
Any more pics of this one? Different angle?
-
I’ll be without my computer for a couple days. No current bushes out here. Kinda nippy tonight too.
Weak fork thread might look familiar ;)

I would call him a few things but “thin antlered” is definitely not one of them 😆

yep. That was my first thought too. I shoot that deer on just about any tag.
