My son put his tag on this guy last Sunday morning. It was a long and difficult season but worth every minute of it! We spotted this bull from 1.5 miles away and were able to put a stalk on him for an hour and a half and kill him at 125 yards in his bed. One shot from the 7mm and it was lights out. It took 3 of us 9.5 hours to get the meat and head to our truck after learning that our rope capstan winch was broken.
I want to thank all of the members who gave us advise and helped us out. I will pay it forward to whom ever draws this tag in the future!

My father drew the Selkirk tag in 2010 and I cannot believe how much things have changed. I have never seen so much wolf sign as we encountered this season. Every pile of scat was loaded with moose hair....calf’s I would assume. We hunted one particular bull for 5 days in the same drainage and had new wolf sign in the trail every day. There is still a lot of moose in the Selkirk but they are tougher to get at then they used to be.

Theyre fully capable of taking out adult moose. Its what they do.

My son had 4 points and he drew. Just goes to show all of us that there is always that slight chance it could happen! Thank you everyone for the kind remarks. We worked our butts off for this bull which makes it even that much more special!
