Killed this bird yesterday morning. My heaviest in 15 years. 21 lb 10 oz. He has a 8.5" beard and 1" spurs.
Runnin and gunnin, finally got him to respond at 8:43 am and was able to close the distance for the shot at 10:02 am. He would gobble and strut but would not come in. He had 2 hens with him. I shot him 2.6 miles as the crow flies from the rig. I had 4 drainages to go down and up between him and the truck. I'm worn out. But it was totally worth it.
Mounting him in full strut gobbling. I'll post pic's when done.

Thanks guys! It was pretty cool when I got home and showed it to my 3 yr old boy, he patted me on the back and said "I'm so proud of you daddy". All of the sudden my feet, legs and back quit hurting and the pack out was all worth it. :)
Bucklucky, I'll use a Cally Morris full strut form from McKenzie. I'll also send his head to Cally for freeze drying. He'll be gobbling and turned to the right.
