Title: Hornady Reloading Data
Post by: Chad McMullen on November 28, 2020, 10:51:33 AM
Does anybody out there have a Hornady reloading manual? I have a box of 140gr FTX bullets in .357mag that I purchased by mistake -- I meant to buy XTP (and later, I did).  While load data for XTP is plentiful and free, I'm finding that data on FTX is always behind a "pay wall" of some sort, and it ticks me off that I can't crack open a manual at Sportsmans or Cabelas to see if I even have a suitable powder to load according to a published recipe.

(BTW, I'm aware of the unfortunate case shortening in Hornady's factory FTX loads)

Likely powders for this bullet that I have include HS-6, H-110, and BlueDot

Have the tenth edition, similar to mtnwalker's, but no HS-7 listed.

You can also go to hodgdonreloading.com on line, they have data for their powders with the 140 gr. FTX bullet.

Hey, thank you all, for the posts and the help.  I hadn't been to the Hodgdon site in a few months, but last time I was there I printed out their 140gr load data, and no FTX data was published -- but now it is.  Hah!  Glad to see they have a load for H-110, which will be a good choice for the .357mag carbine rifle these loads are meant for.
