Found around 330pm today. If it’s yours you should be able to describe it well.

Rem 1100 with a 26" barrel and scratches on the barrel and butt stock. Just kidding. I didn't lose it. Have you contacted Vancouver PD? Someone may have reported it. Also maybe Region 5 WDFW in Ridgefield. Good for you to post this.

That is my next avenue to try and locate the owner along with the sheriffs department. This is the only form of social media I have. If anyone who is part of a hunting group on Facebook see's someone missing a gun I’m sure they would appreciate this info as well! And thank you. I would hope someone would do the same for me.

I posted this to PNW Waterfowl Addicts on FB. If someone see's it, I will put them in contact with you.

Thank you for doing that!

Owner contacted. Gun returned! Belonged to a gentleman’s father that recently passed away. After pulling my boat out of the ramp into the overflow parking lot at caterpillar island there was a sign for “lost gun” right where I found it. Contacted the owner and confirmed details of the gun and less than an hour later he was returned his piece. Looking like a gained friendship as well!

Man what a gut punch when he discovered it was missing, then the excitement an honest person found it!
Awesome 👌

Way to go that’s a great outcome

He gave me a huge hug when he came to my place to get the gun. I can only imagine the relief of getting back his late father gun. Such a nice guy and wanted to give me a “reward” but that was so unnecessary especially with the sentimental value I could see it meant to him

Very good deed to look for the owner and return. I would have been real leery picking it up and taking it home. Now days you don't know if it was used n a crime. It would be my luck and have my prints all over it. :yike:
