Sorry guys, I think I have about run out of bucks.....
If I had my way, I'd spend everyday out there.

Wow, that old pot-bellied buck has a tall rack. Great photos as usual, Doug. Keep 'em coming, any of your shots are a pleasure to look at :)
-
Call me crazy but I love that frame. A slightly scaled down version of him got me hooked on mule deer hunting. Nice shot as always.
-
Awesome buck!
-
Looks tired, thanks!
-
Wow! What a beautiful shot!

That's the thinking on 95% of the people on here. :chuckle:

He could definitely make some money in the “I’m not a guide I’m just the photographer” game that I see some others playing on the ‘Gram :chuckle:

Awesome pic...what a cool looking buck.
-
What a tank.
Seems like you had a great year.
If anything, this years pics exceed expectations, and I'm not sure that was possible. ,
-
Thanks Dan-o, and everyone. I had about half the time as normal, but did good while I was out there.
-
bone, always look forward to viewing your pics. You do an amazing job capturing your subjects in the moment and your pictures never disappoint. The only thing that's ever disappointing is when we've reached the end of the season.
-
Yep I love every year seeing your pictures
Always great.!!

Awesome shot Doug, If you don't mind me asking what camera do you use and lens for your long distance pictures.
You have some great pictures on your website.
Thank you!
-
Thanks for taking the time and sharing all the pics that you do

How many different states do you travel to get pictures?
-
Another great picture! Those tall bucks can be very deceiving and score way better than a wide buck!
-
Thanks for taking the time and sharing all the pics that you do
:yeah: I have a feeling a few more may pop up on here if we're lucky

I travelled way less this year and when I did, it wasn’t as fruitful as closer to home so...
-
Doug, thanks for all your time and effort and to sharing it with us. It’s my favorite time of year looking at all your excellent pics!
-
Certainly cannot be said enough but your appreciation of mule deer and you knowledge of where to find them is incredible. The fact you choose to share so much of it with us is on another level! Your pics amaze every year, I truly hope the job change and such this year works out for the long haul. I also hope you find the right place to support your calendars in the coming years! THANKS again Doug!!

My sentiments exactly!

Thank you guys, that means a lot!

Doug,
Just curious, do you take most of your buck photos during the rut? And if so, is that because it’s easier (being a relative term of course!) to locate them?
IMOP:
I personally think any buck with a summer fed body and love pumped neck is the coolest way to observe them...
-
Yes as it’s the only real chance to see them. They’ve migrated in, or they are active during daylight hours, they are distracted, etc. if I was a millionaire and wasn’t working then I could extend my time. It’s also when they are the most fun anyways. All a deer has to do is eat, sleep, stay alive. Not much action in that.

Another beautiful Buck! Thanks for posting these Doug one of the post I have looked forward to every year. Hope you have a great holiday season.
