Title: 5 year old daughter's first year duck hunting
Post by: Spuddieselwwu on December 08, 2020, 09:41:39 AM
Have had a blast taking my daughter (Payton - 5yo) out for her first "real" duck hunts this year.  Keeping her warm/out of the weather, full of doughnuts and hot coco has made for a few real enjoyable hunts.

One thing my kids have liked (in addition to the food and hot chocolate) is letting them bring their bb guns to shoot the decoys.  I put a few out around the spread that I don't care if they shoot and let them have it at.  It passes time while waiting for birds and they think it's great fun.

Good on you getting her out there. Keeping her warm is important as she will more likely want to go again then.
