Not being a dick here at all, but Id get the book for the pictures and the scores so you can see the most common attributes of a deer that makes minimum. You will se that a lot of them share similar mass and main beam length and you will get to where you can discount an animal based on a quick observation, at least to the point of "likely to make it" and "unlikely to make it".

Thanks Lewy! It can be so hard to judge them with the little experience I have in that regard. My taxi showed me one that was 7/8 above the minimum and it looked achievable in my area. I think that buck had four points and the eye guards. From my recollection your buck should definitely meet the minimum if not more but again, little experience etc.

Mostly just the picture angles make them look that way. They were a long ways apart from each other. The hard horned one was much wider and not near as tall as the velvet. And the velvet had a few extras.These all make it with room to spare by score. Only 2 are bow kills tho.Do you think those 1st 2 bucks were related the look very similar

He doesn't mess with dinky P&Y bucks, he goes strait for the Booners he just gets em with archery take tackle.
