Title: First pics from the new property
Post by: turkeyfeather on February 04, 2021, 06:03:34 AM
Well.....many had asked to see trail cam pics from our new property near Loon Lake. We went up this last weekend to check cams that had been sitting a couple weeks. Got lots of pics of deer with what looks like a good big bodied buck but hard to tell without antlers. We had gotten alot of pics at all times throughout the day the suddenly (one one camera) 2 days before we returned there were no pics at all. It was puzzling until we checked the other camera and got pics of this guy around the same time frame. Once he showed up we didn't get another deer pic. Hoping the "incentive" we put out will draw the deer back in.

We can't tell for certain though.....wolf or just big dog that wandered through?

How close is your nearest neighbor and do they have a dog like that which is allowed to run wild? Chances are its a wolf and the deer are smart their not going to stick around if the sense that. Find any deer kills there? Still congrats on your property

Nearest neighbor is probably 3/4 mile. No, we haven't found any kills

Looks like a malamute mix to me.  The dense coat and tail curled up over the back.
