Well that is soo typical with WDFW!! If you have a FB account leave a comment accordingly.

"The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife supports the recovery of wolves in our state and wants others to learn about them as well. Although negative stereotypes of wolves go back over a hundred years in our culture- think Little Red Riding Hood or the Three Little Pigs- most people have little to worry about when it comes to wolves naturally moving back into the areas they once occupied in Washington."
PRIME HABITAT ! For sure..... :bash: :bash: :bash:

Stupid is as stupid does, is the obvious saying!! "Educated past their intelligence" is another one!!

So when do we get a wolf season like Idaho?

Wolves have absolutely cruised through east / west side of Mt. St Helens- 6750-1430-1435. Only a matter of time before we have a full blown pack cruising from the Lewis / Kalama over to the Coweeman / Cowlitz....If they haven't already !!!!

It's pretty evident wdfw has no plans to control or manage the Wolf population in the state...so that only leaves one option.

I've always wondered. They say we need to allow the predators to be in their historic habitat, but every time one is in Seattle they remove it.
If they have a natural fear of humans, why do they need to be removed? :dunno:

Obviously your not a hunter to understand what they do to ungulates also

I thought all you had to say was they were coming right at me. :chuckle:

That is hilarious! I think it should read what the wolves should expect when they expand to our area. :dunno:

Difficult read, screaming at the screen is not productive. Banging my head on the counter hurts. Remember the Kretz horse/cougar pictures? Compile them along with quotes from Idaho and Montana extension on wolf/cattle costs, weight and reproductive loss, and send them to Susewind, reps and sheriffs. Half eaten dogs on leaches, gutted livestock and the like would be a good start. An accounting for a producer grazing wolf infested areas would be helpful. Dashiell would help. F4WM would help. WA Farm Bureau too. A mention of depleted prey bases causing wolf spread would be worthwhile. Many have better ideas than I, bring it on.

Even Wisconsin just opened up a wolf season. I saw a wolf this year up near the NE corner. Sure would’ve looked good on the wall...

Wdfw won't have a season on wolves unless the elk herds are almost depleted or when we stop buying licenses

I'm kinda starting to get bent over by these wolves in the NE corner. I was talking with a land owner that I have permission to hunt his land. And he is asking me did I hunt deer this year on his land. I told him no ,and told him the location where my son and I filled the tags. Then I ask him what's going on up there did somebody break your gates. Or what the Heck. He proceeds to tell me all the deer went missing on his land .If I see wolves on his land ,take care of the problem. So we get to talking about small game and some other species that he wants left alone and not hunted.
I tell him exactly what I will be hunting ,General season lengths of when I might be on his land. And told him that I follow the regulations set by the state ,ECT,ECT.
His land I know I didn't hunt it this year cause of the early snow we had.The roads up there I won't drive in a pickup with snow, maybe a four wheeler, but not in my truck.
Anyway I'm about to lose permission on this chunk of ground due to wolves ,yet I rarely hunt it that much.
I'm pretty sure he has had the problem for a few years.
I had trail cams on his land a few years ago and it didn't look very good ,so I haven't really hunted it that hard. With all that said ,he does have no hunting signs ,but nobody enforces it. And I'm sure a few hunters slip in there every year.
I'm just glad I still have permission for this year.
But the way it sounds it might not be for long.

I can't help it with the title of this topic, the old saying goes....
Money can't buy you happiness but it will brighten your day!!!

Even then the state will not have any kind of season or permits for wolves. They’ll have “wildlife managers” to deal with wildlife conflicts just like they do today. I see the future of hunting in this state will be for native tribes only unfortunately.
