Title: Anyone have a gun cerakoted?
Post by: actionshooter on February 14, 2021, 08:12:41 PM
Put a new AR10 together specifically for hunting and was thinking it needed a pimp daddy style camo job   :chuckle:

Anyone local that can be recommended?   Thinking about doing a Kuiu type pattern, but want to look at others, haven't made my mind up yet.

 Thanks,

I don't think MAD is in business anymore.

I know not all Cerakote jobs are equal... I think a single color is one thing but I have seen some ugly camo patterns and want to avoid that.

I know theyv’e had some changes since I had mine done in 2018.  Not sure status.

 https://northwesthydroprint.com/pricing.html (https://northwesthydroprint.com/pricing.html)

Nw hydroprint, Montesano WA.

But most any hydroprint outfit can do similar I think.  Stock was about $150.

Thanks, just sent them an email to see what their turnaround time is, and if they still do the verde 2.0.

Maybe not the closest location to you but they seem to do some pretty cool looking stuff and worth taking a look at.  https://www.nwfirearmfinishes.com/

Looks like they no longer maintain an FFL, so doing my AR would be out... bummer as they are close..

I had an AR done by a member of this forum about 6 years ago.

I believe it was jay sharkbait, but not sure now and I can't find the date and name in my records

I had my rifle done by savage coatings in kenmore which would be a ways away for you but he did great work.  He has done a few coworkers and friends guns too now and I’m always impressed.

I had mine done by a Gresham shop. Great Desert Camo pattern. Had it done through Sporting Systems in Hazel Dell.
